RE Factor Tactical and High Speed Gear NVG Counterbalance Pouch

Question: What happens when RE Factor Tactical and High Speed Gear get together? Answer: Good things if you use a helmet mounted night vision setup.

The new NVG Counterbalance Pouch is now available. This pouch was designed by RE Factor Tactical and manufactured by High Speed Gear. It is designed to carry an ANVIS battery pack along with two removable parkerized steel plates that weigh .45 lbs each. The plates are included. The ability to add and remove the plates allow the user to customize the balance of their helmet. The pouch also features space for additional small items and loop Velcro coverage for patches and ID.

New Belt Mounted Pouches from HSG

HSG has introduced new belt mounted versions of their Mag-net Dump Pouch, Pogey Pouch, and Soft Taco. The addition of these pouches to their existing line of belt mounted Taco pouches means that it is now possible to build an entire belt rig with HSG’s pouches.

HSG Plate Carriers

It is good to see High Speed Gear back in the plate carrier game. There was a time when the Weesatch and its derivatives were the hot carriers on the market but that was years ago. Now, with the introduction of their new MPC and SPC carriers, they are coming back to relevance in an innovative way.

HSG’s approach to their SPC and MPC is modularity on a level that I am not sure we have seen before. Both plate carriers start with the same basic, slick, plate pocket chassis. The SPC is offered as a more slick, low-profile option and the MPC as a more modular, load-bearing option. The MPC’s MOLLE compatible cummerbund is actually HSG’s excellent Sure Grip repurposed with an adapter to work as a cummerbund! The front panel can be run slick or with the new HSG Chest Platform mounted on the front as a cummerbund flap. Both the Sure Grip Belt and Chest Platform can also be utilized as stand-alone gear when you don’t need a plate carrier.

We have certainly seen effective ways to integrate plate carriers and chest rigs before, but HSG’s new approach seems to take modularity to a whole new level. Check out the SPC and MPC at HSG.

HSG Tactical Cooler Panel

I can’t explain it rationally and I’m not sure how I would use it, but when High Speed Gear announced the HSG Tactical Cooler Panel for Bison Coolers, I could barely resist. These things are just too cool.

The panel snaps directly to the front of the cooler via seven snaps. It has a massive PALS field for attaching pouches and plenty of loop Velcro for attaching patches. It available for Bison’s 50 and 70 quart coolers.

The HSG Tactical Cooler Panel is available from Bison Coolers.
