Sometimes kydex, nylon, elastic, and plastic just aren’t classy enough. 5 Shot Leather makes leather AR magazine pouches with their typical mastery that are more than classy enough for any occasion. They are functional too. The pouches fit all common AR magazines and feature a rear belt flap with 2 one way snaps for easy installation/removal on your belt.

Holster maker John Ralston, who you may know from 5 Shot Leather, is a wiz with leather and he has the hardware to prove it. He took first AND second place in the Holster – Un-Tooled Category at the World Leather Debut this year. The winning holster, one of his LFA-1 models, received a perfect score from the event judges.
Here is what he had to say about the holster:
This is my model LFA-1, and is made for a 5″ 1911. The amount of time and work that went into this one was staggering. Keeping the black from the lining and edging off of the natural leather was a full time job in itself! The white stitching compliments both the lining and the body of this piece. The black edging adds a nice frame to all of the components. The hardware was burried in order to leave a clean and uncluttered appearance.
The clean, simple beauty of this holster belies the technical skill that went into crafting it. It sold yesterday via the 5 Shot leather Facebook page for $450 and was worth every penny.
Craftsmanship is alive and well.
