Battle Arms Development OIP Lower Receiver

We recently showed you the upper receiver from the Bentwood Gunsmithing exclusive Battle Arms Development OIP (Ounces is Pounds) carbine. Now we have a sneak peak at the lower receiver. The renderings below give you a pretty solid idea of what the final product will look like though the faceted areas shown will actually be smooth curves.

Again, these will be available exclusively through Bentwood Gunsmithing as part of a complete carbine but you can expect to find the ideas explored here incorporated into upcoming Battle Arms Development products.

Forgotten Weapons INDIEGOGO Campaign

forgottenweaponsForgotten Weapons is one of the most fascinating channels on YouTube and it is a personal favorite of mine. The channel and website highlight exotic, obscure, significant, or even just strange firearms and teaches the viewer about them in a no-nonsense way that keeps their videos light and informative. I can’t say enough good things about their content. It is consistently excellent.

As you can imagine, showing the finer details of a firearm, especially firearms with unique or complex mechanisms, is best done with good quality video equipment. As you can also imagine, good quality video equipment doesn’t come cheap. Forgotten Weapons is attempting to raise the funds necessary to purchase the equipment via an INDIEGOGO crowd funding campaign.

The campaign has really grown some legs but there is still some additional funds to be covered. Check out the campaign page to see if you can help.

Manticore Arms Wood Stock Adapter

If you wish your AK has a folding stock but you just can’t let go of the warm look and feel of a wood stock, you are in luck. Manticore Arms’ new Wood Stock Adapter will allow you to attach a standard wood AK stock to the common folding stock adapters on the market like those from Stormwerkz, ACE Rifle Stocks, and DPH Arms. Additionally, it can be used to convert AK pistols to fixed stock SBR (once you have your approved stamp in hand) simply by drilling and tapping the rear trunnion to accept the adapter without a hinge.
