These Helium Whisper Triple M4 Magazine Pouches from Blue Force Gear (BFG) are left over from a production run for a specific client with a specific set of needs. They needed a bomb-proof pouch with secure retention for the front of their plate carriers so BFG built the entire pouch out of their ULTRAcomp material and added full size flaps. This pouch is trim, light, and completely Armageddon-resistant.
They are only available in limited numbers so don’t dillydally!
Strike Industries claims that their new Venom Flash Hider is among the most effective on the market and they have released video that appears to show favorable performance compared to one of the best known flash suppressors available. The Venom has a 4 prong design that is less than tame. It is long enough to bring a 14.5″ barrel to a non-NFA 16″ of length when permanently attached and has a pre-drilled hole for pinning.

Gough Custom just did the world a great service. A client of his recently ordered a knife to be used on an Antarctic Research Mission and in case you didn’t know, it can get kind of cold there in Antarctica. Aaron Gough, the man behind Gough Custom, took that as a excuse to do some extreme cold testing on his Kydex sheaths and bring us along for the ride.
He used dry ice to chill the various test sheaths to -50C. Then he tested the retention and impact resistance of the sheath at various temperatures. The sheaths maintained solid retention at all temperatures and even though they could be cracked with a hammer at the lowest temps, they were surprisingly resilient.

EXOS Defense has released their take on the AR pistol buffer tube. Their buffer tube is designed to accept the SB-15 Brace and has a stand-off collar to increase the “length of pull”. It also features a sling swivel socket in the rear of the tube. The tube is 9.125″ long and weighs 7.2 oz. It is secured to the lower receiver via a standard end plate and castle nut.
EXOS Defense machines these from 2011 T3 Aircraft Aluminum which they say is significantly stronger than the 6061-T6 aluminum used for most pistol buffer tubes (20% Higher in Tensile Strength and 30% Higher Elongation than Standard 6061 T6). The tubes are hard anodized with a dull black matte finish.
