I always look forward to Gunstruction’s monthly User’s Choice Build. Gunstruction is an expansive and powerful virtual rifle building application that lets users explore weight, price, and aesthetics before they ever purchase a single part. Relentless Pursuit – Free on Kindle this Week

Author Nate Hawk is a good friend, long time shooting buddy of mine, one of the sharpest tools in the shed, and a reader of this blog. He also happens to love America and it shows in his work. He has written four novels, three of which center around a character he created named Kelly Maclean. Kelly is a former marine turned cop with a penchant for finding himself in the middle of sticky situations, extricating himself from said situations, and exacting sweet, action-packed vengeance on the creators of those situations.

I am currently reading thr first novel in the Kelly Maclean series, Relentless Pursuit, and enjoying it quite a bit. The author manages to weave Kelly’s narrative into the events surrounding the Boston Marathon bombing which sends our hero on quite an adventure as he rebuilds his life and seeks closure in the form of revenge. Kelly is the type of hero that is easy to root for and easy to like. He does the kind of things you wish you could.

Nate just released the third novel for pre-order (Impossible Odds) and he is giving away copies of the first novel this week to celebrate. Sneaky Bags Expands Spyder Line

Sneaky Bags has expanded their Spyder line to include two additional larger sizes. The Spyder bag was originally designed to conceal very compact SBRs but users wanted the same feature set for larger carbines so Sneaky Bags has introduced a new 31″ length and 36″ length to go with the original 27″ length bag.

All 3 sizes have the same features that made the original great. They are relatively low-profile in appearance, having more in common with a sports equipment bag than most gun cases. The clam shell opening allows easy access to the rifle or rifles contained inside and the magazine loadout that can be stored and organized in the divider between the two main compartments. The outside compartments can be used to carry a number of items up to and including handguns or even smaller SMGs if you have need for such things.
