Even though the new Appalachian Training SAPI Patch is shaped like a SAPI plate, it doesn’t provide any ballistic protection… unless you stack a few hundred of them on top of each other. Then I guess they might slow down a bullet. Maybe.
Seriously, it’s just a patch. Don’t do anything stupid with it. It won’t stop bullets but it will look pretty darn cool on your plate carrier.

I have two of the MI SS Gen2 Free Float Handguards and they are tremendous. Their 1.5″ outside diameter is narrower than just about any other handguard on the market. However, as is typical with rails like this, there can be some issues with heat. That is why I am thrilled to see that MI is bringing a bolt on panel kit to market. The kit will come with 3 panels (2 plain and 1 with a built in handstop). They will be available soon in FDE, Black, and OD Green.
