New ESEE-4 Scales From The Knife Connection

One of the most asked questions about ESEE Knives is “Are there different scales available for purchase?” ESEE has decided not to offer replacement scales but The-Knife-Connection has decided to fill that gap. The free market works!

The scales extend the length of the handle and provide a "beak" for additional grip. Click to enlarge.

The scales aren’t just simple copies of the original scales. They actually add some functionality in the form of a slight palm swell and some additional length. Some people find the ESEE handles to be a bit short so these replacement scales will be a welcome upgrade for them.

The contours will be appreciated by many users. Click to enlarge.

The-Knife-Connection will be offering these scales in several colors of G-10. They are machined to ensure a consistent fit. They will eventually have scales for other ESEE Knives as well, like the Izula and ESEE-3. You can see more pictures and read more about the scales at the ESEE Forum on BladeForums.com.

Boker Plus Tom Krein Pocket Bowie

The much anticipated Boker Plus Tom Krein Pocket Bowie is finally finding it’s way to dealer shelves. This knife is the result of a collaboration between Boker and knife maker Tom Krein. Krein has a reputation for great handles and scary sharp edges. This Boker Plus Pocket Bowie looks like it lives up to that reputation.

It features a 2 1/2″ blade crafted from 440C steel. The overall length is 4 3/4″. This really is a Pocket Bowie. It wears black G-10 scales with white spacers on its nicely shaped handle. The Pocket Bowie comes with an excellent looking kydex sheath all for a street price that is under $30!

This is going to be one hot seller.

Just Announced: The Izula-II from ESEE Knives

ESEE Knives introduced a new version of their excellent Izula. The Izula-II will have essentially the same blade as the original Izula but it will feature a handle that is 1/2″ longer. It will come with removeable, full coverage canvas micarta scales. I have found the micarta scales on the original Izula to be a must-have.

Artist renderings of the Izula-II. The product version may vary slightly.

The Izula II should be on dealer shelves in 6-8 weeks. You can read more about the Izula-II on the ESEE Knives Forum at Bladeforums.
