Orion Concepts: New Site and Expanded Offerings

Readers of the blog will already be familiar with Orion Concepts’ kydex holsters. I have now been using their MOD-1 Holster for more than 7 months and it is still one of the most comfortable kydex holsters that I have ever used.

What many people don’t know is that Orion Concepts also offers training and a full selection of firearms. Their new site has all the details. Check out the Orion Concepts website.

INFORCE APL

We now have more details on the upcoming INFORCE APL (Auto Pistol Light) that Soldier Systems Daily initially reported. INFORCE sent me a press release that starts to paint a pretty impressive picture of the new APL.

The APL features an interesting ambidextrous push forward switch. I suspect that this switch will also make it well suited for mounting at the 12 o’clock position on a carbine rail. It boasts 200 lumen output on a single CR123 battery and runs for about 1.5 hours. On top of all of that, it weighs only 2.83 ounces including the battery!

INFORCE says that these will be available in late October.

Bullpup Shoot 2012: Steyr and PJS Investments Company

Bullpup Shoot 2012 was the perfect place for Steyr Arms and PJS Investements Company to publicly make known that the AUG is back in the US market and they did it in a big way. They had several AUGs on hand in a variety of configurations.

The AUG will have a receiver that is manufactured by Vltor in the USA.

These CQC AUG A3 rifles will be available through PJS Investments Company. They feature quick detach, extended length rails that really round out the package. This configuration will cost about $250 more than a standard AUG A3.

This is another view of the CQC AUG A3.

The AUG A3 is available with a NATO lower that accepts AR-15 magazines. This could be ideal for those you have tons of AR mags on hand already.
