MEGA MKM 556

MEGA Arms will be releasing the 5.56 version of their MKM (MATEN KeyMod) upper receivers in the next few weeks. The MATEN system is very, very slick. It is basically an upper receiver with a built in interface to accept a proprietary free float rail. The design creates a very rigid rail system that rivals truly monolithic upper receivers.

The rails feature the KeyMod attachment system and come in four lengths:

14″ extended rifle length – $485 MSRP
12″ rifle length – $462 MSRP
9″ mid-length – $431 MSRP
7″ carbine length – $400 MSRP

Ares Gear Aegis Belts

Ares Gear just announced the first in their Aegis series of belts. These belts retain the same stiff scuba webbing that Ares Gear is known for but introduce a new, proprietary buckle. The buckle is made from stainless steel and is secured via a beefy pin. This buckle makes the belt easy to thread and it looks great. The production version of the buckle will be metal injection molded and will be available around January of 2014.

Double D Armory Camo Anodized AR-15 Receivers

Double D Armory is offering AR-15 upper and lower receiver sets with very slick looking and unique camo finishes. These camo patterns are actually mil-spec hard anodized which should make them extremely very durable.

Their desert pattern looks great and they are working on a (you better sit down) a tiger stripe pattern. They are also working to bring matching handguards to market to finish off the camo look.

I don’t know of anyone else who is able to get this much detail in a hard anodized finish. I’m impressed. Check out Double D Armory.

SHM Ray Holster Now Available for M&P Pistols

200 Lumen INFORCE WMLs Now Shipping

I have noticed that a handful of vendors now have the new 200 lumen versions of the INFORCE WMLs. I know several of you have been waiting for these since we first broke the news in February and for good reason, they are excellent carbine lights.
