MAGPUL MS1 Padded 2 To 1 Convertible QD Sling Combo at IWC

2014-12-11_08-29-33

Impact Weapons Components has Magpul’s new Padded MS1 Sling in stock and they are offering it in a combo with two heavy duty QD sling swivels and a 2 to 1 Point Triglide. Magpul designed the MS1 Padded sling to work well in either one or two point configuration and this combo gives you everything you need to easily transition between either configuration.

The “triggerjerk” code will not work on this combo but it will still save you 5% on most IWC items. Check out the MAGPUL MS1 Padded 2 To 1 Convertible QD Sling Combo at IWC.

Midwest Industries M-LOK Hand Guard for the FN SCAR

Midwest Industries has brought more direct-connect capable hand guards for more rifles to market than anyone. Their latest is an M-LOK compatible hand guard for the FN SCAR.

MI MLOK SCAR

The new hand guard has 18 slots in various locations for attaching M-LOK compatible accessories and a short section of 1913 rail at 12 o’clock forward of the front sight. It is machined from 6061 aluminum with a hard anodized finish. Like MI’s other SCAR rails, this one extends forward of the front sight to provide additional mounting surface for accessories and gripping surface for the shooter.

The retail price will be under $200 and it will be available in about 4 weeks.

SIG SB15 Stabilizing Brace to be Available in Kit Form Only?

Osage County Guns is reporting via their Facebook page and blog that they have been informed by Sig Sauer that the SB15 Stabilizing Brace will only be available in kit form soon. The kit will include the SB15, buffer tube, buffer, recoil spring, and locking nut and the MSRP will $239-$249. It should be noted that Osage County Guns is one of the most prolific retailers of these braces.

Sig is the only game in town when it comes to these braces but there are already other devices out there lining up to compete with the SB15. This seems like it could be a very unpopular move, especially since Sig’s current buffer tube is light years behind those offered by KAK, MI, Exos Defense, Phase 5, and others. I own two SB15s and probably wouldn’t have purchased them if it meant I had to pay for a bunch of other stuff (everything but the SB15 itself) that I won’t use.

I guess I will be surprised if, when the dust settles, the SB15 is actually discontinued as a stand-alone product but you never know.

AR Pistol JTT IG 1

Update: I have been told by a few friends of JTT (and esteemed commenters below) that the kit will ship with a Phase 5 buffer tube. That is good news given that Phase 5 has a well proven track record with AR pistols. As good as their buffer tubes are, I will still miss being able to purchase the SB15 separately and choosing my own buffer tube and other components.

Low-Pro Products M1A / M14 Top Extended Rail 15″

The latest iteration of the Low-Pro Product’s extended top rail for the M1A/M14 is now available. The M1A / M14 Top Extended Rail 15″ are designed to be a direct replacement for the short 4″ forward rail that is found on the M1A Scout Rifles or you can modify your top handguard to allow it to mount on a standard M1A with standard barrel profile (not for use with a heavy barrel).

The rail provides a full 15″ of mounting space. It rums from the barrel clamp all the way back to the stripper clip guide where it securely mounts. This provides plenty of space to mount the optic of your choice regardless of eye relief.

The rail is milled down the center so that the iron sights are still usable. It is machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum and hard anodized. Check out the M1A / M14 Top Extended Rail 15″ at Low-Pro Products
