Radian Weapons Ultralight QD Endplate

There are a lot of “ultralight” QD end plates for the AR-15/AR-10 made from aluminum on the market and most share the same potential issue. Over time, the locking surfaces which are in near constant contact with a steel sling swivel and bearing most of the weight of the rifle can wear out. It takes a while, but I have had it happen.

Radian Weapons new Ultralight QD Endplate features mostly aluminum construction (7076-T6 with hard anodized finish) but the actual sling swivel cup is machined from titanium. This ensures that the Ultralight QD Endplate is both very lightweight but also more durable than endplates that are machined from aluminum alone.

New from Magpul: M-LOK GI Sling Swivel

The new M-LOK GI Sling Swivel from Magpul is, as the name implies, M-LOK compatible so you can attach it to any compatible mounting surface like free float rails and MOE Hand Guards. However, it is really going to excel on Magpul’s rifle stocks like the Hunter 700 and X-22 stocks. These would be perfect for those who want to use a shooting sling in conjunction with these stocks.

It bears an obvious resemblance to the GI style swivel loops that everyone removes from their AR-15 gas blocks these days to make room for free float hand guards. These large coated steel loop is the the ideal fixed mounting point for shooting slings that will exert a lot of tension on your sling mount when pulled tight.

Coming Soon – Magpul Gen M3 PMAG in MCT

2017 will mark 10 years since the AR-15 magazine gods handed the PMAG down to us from Mount Magpul. In that time, it has gone through several revisions and been offered in a number of different varieties, all of which have consistently proven that “plastic” magazines are here to stay.

Magpul will release the latest version of the venerable polymer AR-15 magazine in the form of the PMAG Gen M3 in MCT (Medium Coyote Tan). The new magazine has all the same features as the Black and Sand Gen M3 magazines but with a new formulation of polymer that gives the MCT color and is just as strong as the Black polymer.

These magazines are already in production and will begin shipping for commercial sales in early 2017.
