From Blue Force Gear:

CHAPSminus is the latest innovation of the MOLLEminus product line.  CHAPSminus is the logical alternative to traditional cargo pants in hot environments.  The open design keeps the wearer cooler and allows gentle breezes to pass directly through the CHAPSminus.  CHAPSminus is fully MOLLE compatible – allowing the placement of magazine and utility pouches right where they are needed.  No longer is organization limited to wherever pockets are sewn on to traditional cargo pants.

BALCS LVR from Beez Combat Systems

The Beez Combat Systems BALCS LVR (Low Vis Rig) is a scalable plate carrier system that is built around BALCS cut soft armor. It is designed to scale from a low profile carrier up to a full load carrying rig that is supported by a number of additional accessories including a clip on chest rig, a PALS (MOLLE) cummerbund, and a hydration carrier.

In addition to the BALCS cut soft armor, the LVR can accept SAPI, swimmer cut, or rectangular hard armor plates. It features a mostly slick front except for some vertical webbing that is used to attach the chest rig clips and a loop field for attaching patches and ID. The LVR will come with a low-profile elastic cummerbund that attaches at the front and back of the LVR via hook and loop. It is held tight to the LVR via a webbing strip on each side of the LVR. The back of the BALCS LVR features a low profile drag handle and is covered with PALS webbing for attaching the BCS hydration carrier. The shoulder straps pull forward to adjust and shoulder pads will be available as an option.

The clip in chest rig carries 4 magazines and is available for the AR-15, AK-47, or AK-74. It is completely covered with PALS webbing to allow the user to configure it to their specific needs. It installs easily with two side release buckles on the front and a slick clip on each side. If you don’t need the heavier load carriage capabilities of the chest rig, there are PALS panels that can be attached over the elastic cummerbund that can be used to attach various pouches.

You have probably noticed by now that the BALCS LVR is available in some of the Kryptek family of camo patterns – Highlander and Mandrake (shown). BCS has added the Kryptek patterns to their inventory and now they are an option across the entire BCS line up. The LVR is also available in a ton of other color and camo options: Multicam, A-TACS AU, A-TACS FG, Woodland, Khaki, Coyote, Ranger Green, OD Green, and Black. Plus, if you provide the material, BCS will make their gear in what ever color or camo pattern that you want.

Osprey Flight Helmet Rucksack from Fight and Flight Tactical

The Osprey Flight Helmet Rucksack is purpose built to replace the standard issue flight helmet bag. Fight and Flight Tactical started with the dimensions of the venerable medium ALICE ruck and modified it to fit, not only a flight helmet, but a ton of support gear as well.

Fight and Flight Osprey

The Osprey is padded throughout its construction to protect the flight helmet and the other sensitive contents of the bag like night vision devices. It has a large main compartment and a padded trunk on top to keep you organized. It has a ton of PALS webbing coverage so you can attach additional pouches to it. The bag is lined with a water-resistant pack cloth type liner and all the seams have been sealed to make the bag very water resistant.

I am really just scratching the surface of the features that this bag has so hit the link to learn more. Check out the Osprey Flight Helmet Rucksack from Fight and Flight Tactical.

Blue Force Gear DAP Packs and the Last Call Page are Back!

Blue Force Gear has brought back their DAP packs for a limited time. When they are gone, they are gone. If you feel like ignoring everything else that I write, skipping right to the end of this post, and clicking on the link to buy one before they sell out, I will understand.

The DAP Packs are back, along with the Last Call Page. The Last Call Page is where Blue Force Gear blows out gear before it disappears for good and there are often some great deals to be had. The DAP Packs are some of my favorite packs of all time. I own a couple of the Micro Packs and a Skye Pack and they have all served me well. They are well made and very versatile thanks to the wide of array of Dappers that Blue Force Gear offers. Never have there been packs that transitioned so easily from medical pack, to EDC pack, to laptop pack, or to what ever other configuration you can dream up.

Check out the DAP Packs on the Blue Force Gear Last Call Page.
