Mountain Ridge Gear Duffel Bags Are Back

Mountain Ridge Gear has been making overbuilt duffel bags in a number of sizes for a long time. In fact, we mentioned them here on Jerking the Trigger way back in 2010! They never stopped making them but they were only available under another well known pack maker’s brand name for a last few years. Now the bags are back under the Mountain Ridge Gear name and they are a still a bargain.

The bags are built from 1000D Cordura with #10 YKK zippers and  available in 4 sizes: Extra Small, Small, Medium, and Large.

Philanthropic campaign aims to support military and public safety organizations during the holiday season

Gadsden Dynamics Wasp Rig

The Wasp Rig is a chest rig designed by Gadsden Dynamics in collaboration with Rockcastle Shooting Center trainer Justin Vititoe. Many of the chest rigs that Gadsden Dynamics makes are designed to be slick and low-profile enough to conceal and the Wasp Rig is no different. It draws much of its design from their Underground Partisan Chest Rig but adds a number of additional features.

This chest rig features a single open top AR-15 magazine pouch, two open top double stack pistol magazine pouches, and an admin pouch that can also be used as a med pouch. Gadsden Dynamics also includes a single column of PALS webbing that can be used for attaching a pouch or securing items like chemlights, tourniquets, and flashlights.

The harness is unique to Gadsden Dynamics. It consists of a “Y” shoulder harness that meets at the center back of a single lat belt. This design should be to be easy to don quickly since the user need only worry about a single buckle on the lat belt once the harness is adjusted to fit.

The Wasp Chest Rig is available in two versions, the Wasp Rig and the Enhanced Wasp Rig. The only difference is that the Enhanced Wasp Rig allows the user to remove all of the pouches from the harness via a single Velcro panel. This opens up a number of concealment options or even attaching the panel directly to a plate carrier.

Raven Concealment Drop Offset Kit

Raven Concealment’s Drop Offset Kit adds both a slight drop and a cant away from your body to your holster.  This drop and cant helps ease access to your holster even with gear (plate carrier, chest rig) on your upper body. If you need a solution that is lower in profile than a drop holster, this could be it.

The Drop Offset Kit is designed for use with the RCS Phantom series of holsters but it should work with many holsters on the market with similar eyelet spacing.

New Scorpion EVO Mag Pouches from Crusader Gear

Crusader Gear’s new Scorpion EVO + Glock Mag Pouches let you carry magazines for the CZ Scorpion EVO in the primary pouches and either 2 or 4 double stack handguns magazines (or similarly shaped items) on the front pouches. The primary magazine pouches have an open top, bungee retention design while the handgun pouches are secured with flaps.

The Scorpion EVO + Glock Mag Pouches are constructed from 1000D Cordura Nylon. They are MOLLE compatible and ship with the MALICE clips necessary to mount them.
