Tilley LT3C Snap-Up Camouflage Hat

I was recently wandering through a local store trying to kill some time when I noticed a familiar display of hats with a familiar camo pattern all over it. The classic Tilley T3 is now available in Multicam!

Tilley calls it the LT3C Snap-Up Camouflage Hat and they refer to the camo pattern as “Multi-Camoflauge Print.” The LT3C has the same snap-up sides as the T3, the same medium brim, the same famous hidden pocket and the same lifetime guarantee and insurance against loss. It’s everything you love about Tilley hats. The difference is that, unlike the T3 which is made from cotton canvas, the LT3C is made from Multicam cordura nylon.

SerePick Stainless Steel Entry Cards

SerePick just rolled out one of their latest discreet lock bypass tools – Stainless Steel Entry Cards. There are two different versions (V1 and V2) that are identical to the Titanium Entry Card models that are sold by ITS Tactical and Vigilant Gear except the material (stainless instead of titanium).

The cards are identical in size to a credit card which makes them very easy to carry on your person or in your gear. They come with a vinyl storage sleeve. I have both versions in hand for a review so stay tuned.

Both versions of the Stainless Entry Card are available from SerePick. The V1 Entry Card is available from ITS Tactical. The V2 is available from Vigilant Gear.

Austere Provisions Compacy CORE Panel

The CORE Panel from Austere Provisions Company is a simple concept (the best concepts are simple). It is small MOLLE compatible panel that can serve as a stand-alone organizer or a drop-in organizer for other packs and bags.

Mike has shown earlier prototypes of the CORE panel before but this new one has one obvious and exciting change. It uses Blue Force Gear’s MOLLEminus Technology!

In addition to the MOLLE fields on each side, the CORE has an internal pocket. Its height is similar to a chest rig or PC cummerbund so most standard pouches will fit it well.

Before you ask… The FDE Sentinel Designs Glock Magwell shown in the pic was part of a special run. There are no plans to offer them in the near future.

Focused Impact from Tuff-Writer and Martial Blade Concepts

Tuff-Writer and Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) have produced a DVD that gives the viewer some techniques that can be used with “tactical pens” or really just any pen. Michael Janich of MBC provides nearly 2 hours of content relating to using a pen as a defensive tool. It is nice to see a company doing more than just calling their pens tactical and actually providing some form of training along with the pen.

Vigilant Gear Quick Stick

Those tiny, unassuming little widgets in the picture above are Quick Sticks from Vigilant Gear and they happen to be one of the most versatile lock bypass tools on the market. They can be used to open some padlocks, bypass wafer style locks like those found in file cabinets and toolboxes, and may even be able to shim some cheaper handcuffs. These are a compact and functional addition to any urban survival kit.
