550 FireCord

Paracord is never just paracord anymore. The latest reinvention of the well-loved survival cordage is 550 FireCord.

550 FireCord looks and functions like normal 550 paracord. It can be used for all the same tasks that you would use paracord for like shelter building, zipper pulls, repairs, and more. However, when the proprietary inner stands are removed and then shredded, they become a very easy to ignite, water resistant, and long burning tinder.

Gearward Adds 3 New Compact Survival Cord Options

Gearward has added three new options for their excellent Compact Survival Cord (see the previous review). The new options include:

Small Kevlar: 200′ of 200lb Line
Mini Technora: 25′ of 600lb Line
Micro Technora: 10′ of 600lb Line

The Small Kevlar option is most exciting to me. In my review, I mentioned that I hoped they would bring a kevlar option to their largest spool and they heard my pleas! 200 feet of cordage in such a small and easy to deploy package represents a lot of capability.

CPT/Oneiros Valley PAP

Cole Partnerships and Training has teamed up with Oneiros Valley to create the PAP or Practical Admin Pouch. It is one of the trimmest admin pouches that I have seen while still retaining quite a bit of useful organization features.

Molleganizers from Blade Tricks

I have covered Blade Tricks on Blade Bomb before. They make a bunch of very slick edged tools and related items but their most recent product is not a knife, tomahawk, or even an impact weapon. It is a thin plastic sheet with a ton of possibilities.

Molleganizers are thin plastic sheets with a series of slots and holes cut into them to create a MOLLE compatible grid. The slots allow you to mount any MOLLE compatible pouches. The holes allow you to mount items that typically mount via screws like Safariland 6004 compatible pouches or gear that would normally use a Tek-Lok to mount. The holes can even be used to mount sections of 1913 rail so you can mount rail-mounted items.

These could be used to organize a bag or create a stand-alone organizer. They come in a variety of sizes to fit different applications. There is no shortage of possibilities for something like this.
