Custom UW Gear Chest Rig

Many of you may already be familiar with EveryCitizenASoldier.org. It is a great site that advocates preparedness for all citizens. A user that goes by Currahee or Excurrahee, who is the owner of the site, recently commissioned a great looking custom chest rig from UW Gear.

The rig is configured to hold 3 AR-15 magazines. The magazine pouches feature the proven tab closure that all UW Gear Chest Rigs have but the flaps are slightly redesigned with a more rounded shape. This rig also has 2 large general purpose pouches in place of the PALS webbing that is usually found on these rigs. The general purpose pouches also feature the tab closure system which is the first time I have seen this closure system on anything other than a magazine pouch in wild.

I don’t think UW Gear is able to take much custom work these days but you can check out their production offerings at UWGearInc.com.

SpecOpShop Combat Shirt

This is a sneak peek at the upcoming SpecOpShop Combat Shirt. It utilizes the sleeves from their SOU Shirt and a stretchable, breathable base layer material for the torso and underarms. They will be available in ABD/SERE, Woodland, 3-color Desert patterns initially. Additional camo patterns will be added in the future.

I’ll never understand why so many 1911s come with lousy magazines. Thankfully Wilson Combat has been saving us all from junk 1911 magazines for decades. Their newest magazine, the ETM HD/+P Magazine, may just be the last 1911 magazines you ever have to buy.

The ETM HD/+P Magazine utilizes Wilson Combat’s proven ETM magazine body and new a stainless flatwire magazine spring that Wilson Combat says will last indefinitely, in fact, they guarantee it. These springs provide up to 25% more spring tension for reliability with hot ammunition.

Patch Collecting: Citizen’s Oath Patch

When an immigrant to the United States is naturalized they take the following oath:

The United States Oath of Allegiance encapsulates the responsibilities of every citizen. This patch from Orca Tactical and Texas Black Rifle Company is meant to remind everyone of that.

RE Factor Tactical ASO Bag

The new ASO Bag from RE Factor Tactical is a “tactical” duffel without the tactical look. This bag is absolutely stuffed full of features.

The ASO Bag is designed to fit common carry-on size standards. It features several pockets including an RFID blocking pocket to protect your cell phone, credit cards, and ID and what RE Factor Tactical calls a “Fight Pocket”. The Fight Pocket is accessible with one hand and has internal PALS and Velcro organization so you can store magazines, first aid, and other items to support the fight. The main compartment of the ASO Bag has 7 mesh pockets along with PALS and Velcro panels to keep your gear organized.

With all these organization features, the ASO Bag is sure to get heavy so there are stow away backpack straps to help handle the weight.
