ALG Defense’s new Ergonomic Modular Rail (EMR) is set to make its debut at SHOT Show. This rail is lightweight, cost effective, absolutely loaded with smart features, and it will have a price that will turn the entire market on its ear.
The EMR more modular than your typical modular rail. Like most modular rails, it allows the user to place rail sections only where they want them. However, unlike most modular rail systems, the top rail is also removable! ALG Defense took care to ensure that when the top rail is removed, the shooter is left with a slightly raised, rounded tower that readily facilitates a variety of grips. All of the accessory rails thread into steel back plates for durability and can be attached at a variety of angles including a 45 degree offset.
The rail comes with an anodized aluminum barrel nut and the wrench necessary to install it. The EMR should be extremely rigid thanks to the way it screws directly to the barrel nut via 6 mounting bolts and its 1 piece, extruded aluminum construction.
The EMR includes a QD sling swivel socket so no additional sling mount will be necessary.
It will be available in 10″, 12″, and 13″ lengths with a hard anodized black finish and a gray finish as an option.
Here comes the “turn the market on its ear” part… The EMR is a complete rail system that includes everything, including the wrench, that you need to get up and running and it starts at just $135 retail!

Do you know the internal diameter?
Mike, are you asking the ID of the rail or the barrel nut? What are you trying to clear?
Just one small correction, the barrel nut is not steel, but rather aluminum. It is also anodized.
