Ground Fall Gear Grifter Slim

Ground Fall Gear’s new Grifter Slim is essentially a simpler, sleeker, and more compact version of their original Grifter Neck Bag. The concept is simple, it’s just a pouch that hangs around your neck, but the applications are many. It can be used to secure travel documents, expand your EDC, carry a first aid kit, and more.

The new Grifter Slim eschews the webbing strap of the original in favor of a paracord neck lanyard. While the original Grifter Neck Bag has multiple pockets and PALS webbing, the Grifter Slim has a single pocket and a sleek exterior.

ICE Hydration Carrier from Beez Combat Systems

Beez Combat System has a new hydration carrier option made specifically for the IcePlate Curve from Qore Performance.

The IcePlate Curve by Qore Performance was designed to be worn close to the body providing the wearer with a hands free plate carrier hydration or backpack hydration that simultaneously cools or warms the wearer. The IcePlate Curve can be worn inside some plate carrier plate bags such as any issued medium ESAPI compatible plate carrier specifically for training and physical fitness workouts. The IcePlate Curve by Qore Performance holds exactly 50 ounces of fluid or 1.5 Litres of fluid. This unique design of a hydration bladder allows the wearer to have more control over their environment by allowing the manipulation and ‘weaponization’ of various temperatures for the user.

The Beez Combat Systems ICE Hydration Carrier allows the wearer to store the IcePlate Curve hydration bladder by Qore Performance comfortably as a low profile hydration carrier system. The design of the ICE Hydration Carrier by Beez Combat Systems also allows the wearer the choice of either left or right port exits. Along with the ICE Hydration Carrier system Beez Combat Systems offers GRIDLOK attachment technology eliminating the need to source for a third party attachment technology. A two inch Velcro enclosure secures the IcePlate Curve by Qore Performance into place as well as a 3″ x 6″ Velcro ID loop can be found on the hydration carrier to support moral patches, blood type or ID patches. The ICE Hydration Carrier by Beez Combat Systems can be mounted to any MOLLE/Pals style plate carrier with GRIDLOK attachment technology.

KE Arms KP-15 and Linear Vibration Welding

Those of us who have used CAV-15 lowers and had great results, were excited to see the concept reborn as the KP-15 from KE Arms. As great as the CAV-15 was, it was not without potential weak points including a small number of lowers that split at the weld between the two halves.

This CAV-15 issue is overblown to some extent but not without founding. It has also been projected onto the KP-15 for understandable reasons given the similarity of the concepts. However, it should be pointed it out that the KP-15 is not simply a rework of the original CAV-15 molds. It is an entirely new, ground-up effort – new engineering, new design, and new processes.

KE Arms recently shared a production process photo of a KP-15 lower that shows an example of how the KP-15 was designed with the process of linear vibration welding from the start with input from engineers that specialize in that process. The image shows an alignment tab that ensures that the process works as intended and can then be removed via machining after the process is complete. The result is a weld between the halves of the lower that has shown itself to be stronger than the surrounding material in testing.
