Beez Combat Systems ECP

The new Beez Combat Systems ECP or Extreme Concealable Plate Carrier is now available to fit SAPI and ESAPI plates. Everything about this carrier has been scrutinized to make it light and concealable.

The plate pockets are constructed from 500D Cordura Nylon. The shoulder straps lay completely flat with no buckles or other hardware to increase bulk. The adjustable, 4″ wide elastic cummerbund fits close to the wearer and may be secured even further with optional security flaps (shown). Even the design of the plate pockets themselves help create a smoother transition from the edges of the plate to the upper chest of the wearer to further conceal the presence of armor.

The ECP also features a loop material field for displaying ID or other patches. It is designed for plates ranging from .75″ to 1.25″ thick and is available in multiple sizes based the size of the armor plates. Check out the ECP at BeezCombatSystems.com.

The Ultimate Rit Dye Guide for Dyeing your Magpul PMAG – GunMag Warehouse Blog

Dying PMAGs is something of a national pastime. Even before Magpul rolled out their Sand polymer that takes dye exceptionally well, people were using Rit Dye on FDE and other colored PMAGS. There are long running and extensive posts on gun forums that pre-date the Sand polymer by a number of years. Now, with the availability of the PMAG Gen M3 Sand magazines, the popularity of dying these mags has only grown.

GunMag Warehouse recently posted what they call The Ultimate Rit Dye Guide for Dyeing your Magpul PMAG. The post shows the results from 25 different Rit Dye colors along with comments on some of the colors. It may also be worth your time to peruse the comments as there is some good information to be gleaned about the process of dying.

Zulu Bravo Paring Knife Sheaths

I recently posted an ode to Victorinox paring knives and mentioned that I used Victorinox BladeSafes to carry them in my pack. A reader asked if there was anyone making kydex sheaths for these useful little buggers. That sent me on a search which lead straight to Zulu Bravo Kydex.

I am familiar with Matt and his kydex bending skills from meeting him at the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife shows. His sheaths are excellent. He makes sheaths for both the straight and hooked versions of the paring knives in small batches that sell out quickly thanks in large part to the current popularity of these knives as affordable and plausibly deniable self-defense options.

The sheaths cost around $20 individually or $30 when supplied with a knife. He also makes training versions of these (and any other popular self-defense knives). They are made in batches so you will want to get on the books as soon as possible. You can visit the Zulu Bravo Facebook page or ZuluBravoKydex.com for contact information.
