TNVC’s M845 Gen 2+ is already pretty well known as a high value night vision rifle scope. Now they are one-upping themselves with the introduction of the M845 Gen 3.

The M845 Mk.4 Gen 3 has much of what made the Gen 2+ version great. It has a 2.8X magnification, 2 MOA red dot reticle, wide field of view, adjustable reticle brightness, and 1913 Picatinny rail compatibility.

OC Tactical Cat Trap

When it comes to gear, the simplest designs are often the best designs. The new Cat Trap from OC Tactical is definitely a simple design.

The Cat Trap is a MOLLE compatible C-A-T Tourniquet holder that mounts vertically or horizontally with an optional adapter. It consists of a small panel and shock cord. The side of the panel that faces the tourniquet has a section of non-slip material sewn on to improve grip on the tourniquet. The panel is attached to the PALS webbing via shock cord which allows you to adjust the retention and is easily field replaceable.

If you prefer to mount your tourniquet horizontally you can purchase the optional Cat Trap Horizontal Adapter. The adapter is made from Hypalon material so it is thin and lightweight.

The result of the Cat Trap’s simple design is that it weighs very little, it is field repairable, it can be tightened to be nearly completely flat when it isn’t in use, and it is very affordable. Check out the Cat Trap at OC Tactical.

ESEE C-Steel

Feast your eyes on the latest survival widget from the gurus at ESEE. This is the C-Steel.

ESEE c-steel

The C-Steel is a striker to be used with true flint and it has a bow drill pivot. That is two ways to make fire with just one device (in case you weren’t counting). Jeff Randall of ESEE says it should makes a pretty decent bottle opener too which is handy because you will probably want some liquid refreshment to enjoy with that fire you just built.

Check out ESEEKnives.com and track the C-Steel’s progress on the ESEE Forum.
