Bayou Custom Sheaths RMJ Tactical Jenny Wren Bit Cover

Bayou Custom Sheath is a full service kydex sheath maker meaning they make sheaths for a ton of different knives and tools. I became aware of them when I was searching for a more compact bit cover for my RMJ Tactical Jenny Wren Tomahawk.

The Jenny Wren, like all RMJ Tactical Tomahawks, comes with their excellent sheath system but I was looking for something a bit more compact since I often carry the Jenny Wren in a pack. Bayou Custom Sheaths had just what I was looking for and even had a TAD Edition Jenny Wren like mine to mold the sheath.

Their bit cover is a simple fold-over design with 3 eyelets to prevent the cutting edge from coming though the sheath. It leaves the hammer pole exposed for use and features a shockcord retention strap to ensure the bit cover stays put even if it is wallowing around in your day pack.

You can check out Bayou Custom Sheaths at their website or get an even better look at their work on Instagram. They mold bit covers for a number of popular tomahawks.

The new LCSmk1d has Cloud Defensive’s Integrated Cable Channels for cable routing and makes use of BCM’s excellent inverted screws. It is compatible with Surefire’s ST07 Tape Switch.

Before you ask, Cloud Defensive has stated that it is unlikely that they will produce a KeyMod compatible LCS for the Streamlight ProTac tape switches which are too wide to work well in this application.

Now Shipping: Magpul AKA KOA Apparel Collection

To give back to the Recon community in an homage to Magpul’s history, we designed the AKA KOA line of apparel. AKA KOA is the nickname given to Alpha Company 3rd Recon Bn (USMC Hawaii) by its Commanding Officer, Kent Bradford, in the late 1980s. Loosely translated, it means “Shadow Warrior” in Hawaiian. While it was intended to symbolize the military capability of the unit, it fast became the call sign for Alpha Company’s other skill set, making the most of the Hawaiian island lifestyle during the off hours.

A portion of the proceeds from the AKA KOA Clothing line will go to the USMC Reconnaissance Foundation. The foundation provides assistance to wounded Reconnaissance Marines and Marine Reconnaissance families. For more information about the foundation, please visit www.reconfoundation.org.
