Beez Combat Systems (BCS) has introduced a full coverage SWAT armor carrier that uses BALCS cut soft armor. The carrier has attachment points for neck, DAPS (shoulder/deltoid), and groin protection which can be included at the time of purchase. BCS claims this is the lightest and lowest profile SWAT carrier on the market thanks in part to 500D Cordura nylon construction.
Magpul continues to beat us over the head with new products leading into SHOT Show 2016 and that is one beating we will all happily take. Their latest announcement is the MOE SL-S Stock – a new version of the MOE SL that has battery storage functionality. Other notable features include a slimmer design than most stocks with battery tubes and ability to fully collapse on a Vltor A5 length tube. It is great to see the preeminent AR-15 stock maker designing stocks around the excellent A5 system.
This looks like a great addition to the growing MOE SL line.

The sleek profile, dual-side release latches, and waterproof battery tubes make it the slimmest storage tube stock available. The SL-S provides an enhanced cheek weld and true, O-ring sealed, 10m waterproof storage area desired by many, but fits it into the narrowest package possible to allow a more upright head position and minimize bulk. A rolled toe and angled rubber butt-pad are optimized for use with body armor, and an ambidextrous QD sling swivel socket is included. Unity Tactical has taken to Indiegogo to drum up funding to make their latest design a reality. The Unity Tactical Baseplate for PMAGS is a drop in replacement baseplate for Magpul’s ubiquitous PMAGs that provides visual and tactile feedback as to whether the magazine is full (30 rounds).
The feedback is provided by a small nub on the baseplate that moves into a slightly raised position if there are 30 rounds in the magazine. The nub is recessed if the magazine’s load level is any lower than 30 rounds.
The “perks” for this campaign are reasonably priced. You can help launch the product and pick up 3 baseplates for just $10. There are larger packages available as well.
