The ONE Pistol from Gear Head Works

Gear Head Works, makers of the Tailhook stabilizer brace, have a new project in the works. The ONE Pistol is a compact bolt-action pistol that is designed to serve as a compact hunting firearm or suppressor host.

The ONE starts as a virgin Model 7 action. The action is barreled and placed in an aluminum chassis with a folding mechanism, AR pistol-like extension, and Tailhook brace. There is currently only one chambering available – 300BLK – and feeding is accomplished via .223 AICS pattern magazines (10 round magazine is included). This basic package weighs in at under 6 pounds and will set you back $1500.

Gear Head Works will offer a number of custom options beyond the basic configuration described above. Options include a number of colors, barrel fluting, grip upgrades, and more.

Dead Foot Arms G-REX Telescoping Brace – Coming in 2018

Dead Foot Arms will release the new G-REX Telescoping Brace in 2018. The new brace features the Gear Head Works Mod 1 Tailhook brace and brings 5 position, telescoping functionality to pistol platforms like the AR pistol with Dead Foot Arms’ Folding Stock Adapter or as long as they are “bufferless”.

Pre-Orders for the brace will be opening within the next 30 days with anticipated availability of Spring 2018. If you already own a Tailhook, the telescoping receiver extension will also be offered as a stand alone purchase.

Compatible for use with our MCS AR-15 Folding Stock Adaptor, AK-Platform, Kriss Vector, SIG MPX/MCX, Robinson XCR, among other bufferless systems. Gear Head Works Tailhook MOD 1 and 2 Pistol Braces

Gear Head Works will be releasing a new pistol brace design that is sure to grab the attention of AR Pistoleros everywhere. Their Tailhook MOD 1 and Tailhook MOD 2 feature a unique hinged design that allows the brace to “open” into a hook that slips under the shooter’s forearm to support the AR pistol for one handed shooting.

The Tailhook MOD 1 is the more compact version of the two. It is machined from aluminum and clamps directly to the buffer tube. The molded polymer Tailhook MOD 2 attaches to the buffer tube much like a stock would and allows for length adjustment to accommodate shooters of all sizes. You can see the Tailhook in action in the video below.

The two versions of the Tailhook shown here have already received ATF approval. There may be additional version forthcoming pending additional approvals.
