ECHO NiNER Original Camera Strap Version 2

If you have been waiting for the ECHO NiNER Original Camera Strap (check out the JTT review) to come back into stock, I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that it has been discontinued. The good news is that it is being replaced with a new and improved version – the Original Camera Strap Version 2 or OCSv2.

The OCSv2 has many of the features of the original version with some notable additions and deletions. The double side release buckle set up that allows it to convert to a hand strap is still intact. The quick adjust tail is still intact. The durable materials and hardware are still intact. However, the silicone insert has been removed and 4″ of additional length has been added. E9 has also added a very slick system to secure the excess strap when the OCSv2 is pulled tight.

ECHO NiNER Low Profile Covert Bag

The upcoming Low Profile Covert Bag looks to be a pretty versatile bag from ECHO NiNER. It is designed to serve as a stand-alone bag or as a camera insert for their X-Messenger Bag.

The Low Profile Covert Bag offers several internal organization features along with built in padding to protect its contents. You can use it to store your lenses, camera body, laptop, or anything else you want to protect and organize. The entire interior is lined with high visibility material so that your loose items are easier to find. The Low Profile Covert Bag nestles perfectly into the X-Messenger or you can use the integral handles and detachable padded shoulder strap to carry the bag on its own.

E9 Original Camera Strap Extension

I love my ECHO NiNER camera straps. I really like the features of the E9 Original Camera Strap but came to prefer the extra length of the E9 Light Speed Camera Strap. Now, with the introduction of the E9 Original Camera Strap Extension, I don’t have to choose between the two.

The E9 Original Camera Strap Extension is a simple enough piece of gear. It just replaces one of the camera connectors from the E9 Original Camera Strap with a 10″ strap (the original is 6″). That extra length makes it comparable to the E9 Light Speed Camera Strap in length.

X-Messenger Bag V.1 from ECHO NiNER

ECHO NiNER has released images of their upcoming X-Messenger Bag V.1. It features a hi-viz interior lining, an internal organizer for small items like pens and business cards, quick access via a top zipper or buckle and Velcro secured flap, a padded shoulder strap, a front pouch, padded breathable mesh back, and PALS webbing on the front and sides.
