More Green Laser Options from Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace is expanding their selection of green lasers yet again! This is good news for those who don’t see red well (like me) and those who want a laser option with increased daytime visibility.

Crimson Trace green laser CMR-206 on S&W Shield

From Crimson Trace:

Crimson Trace, the world’s leader in establishing laser sights as standard equipment on all concealed-carry and personal defense firearms, continues to expand its green laser sights category. In fact, the Wilsonville, Oregon based manufacturer now offers more green laser sights than all of its competitors—combined.

The recent release of Crimson Trace’s Lasergrips® LG-350G with the advanced ShockStop™—designed for Smith & Wesson’s J-frame revolvers—brought the number of Crimson Trace green laser sight products to more than two dozen. And more green laser sights will be released by the company in the months ahead to meet growing consumer demands and customer requests.

Crimson Trace’s new LiNQ®—the world’s first wireless laser and white light system—utilizes a green laser sight along with a bright 300-Lumen LED white light. This product is designed for use on AR/MSR rifles and long guns. Other green products to consider for long guns include the Rail Master Pro® (CMR-204) and Rail Master® (CMR-206). The Rail Master CMR-206 is a compact, lightweight and very bright green laser sight designed for attachment on Weaver and Picatinny rails on handguns and long guns. Yet another option that will provide a green laser sight, along with a white light, is the rugged MVF-515G.

Crimson Trace also recently released the Laserguard® LG-489G (green) that is designed to fit the poplar Smith &Wesson M&P Shield pistol. This product is now offered with a Blade-Tech holster at a savings to the customer. The LG-489G green laser is activated by Crimson Trace’s patented Instinctive Activation™ via a pressure touch pad located under the trigger guard.

Crimson Trace also offers the Laserguard® LG-469G—a green laser sight engineered for Springfield Armory’s XD-S pistol. Another green laser product, the Laserguard LG-443G, is created for a precision fit onto Glock’s popular Model 42/43 pistols. Both of those products are also available with Blade Tech holsters as a pre-assembled package from Crimson Trace.

The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices for these green Crimson Trace laser sights begins at $229 for the CMR-206. The company also continues to offer more red laser sights, to fit the widest range of firearms, than any other firearms accessory manufacturer—period. Ultimate Bipod Hawk Talons from Hawk Hill Custom

Bipods can be a great tool for shooting in the field but if you keep those domed rubber feet, you will never get the most out of them. In order to actually “load” a bipod, you are going to need something that bites into whatever surface you are resting it on when you shoot. That is where the Ultimate Bipod Hawk Talons from Hawk Hill Custom come in.

The Ultimate Bipod Hawk Talons look to be an excellent value, especially if you have a Harris Bipod. First, the central spike on these feet is stainless steel which is a step up from the aluminum found on most spiked feet in the same price range. My current bipod spikes are aluminum and, while they have held up well for a long time, they are definitely not as sharp as they were. Steel construction would go a long way toward helping them stay sharp.

Second, they come with a nifty set of two tooling blocks and a draft pin. The tooling blocks are specifically made to support the bipod and help you drive out the roll pins that secure a Harris Bipod’s rubber feet. The video below shows the process and it looks pretty painless. I can assure you, as someone who has replaced the feet on a Harris Bipod, that without the provided tools it is an absolute pain in the backside.
