Magpul Vet Ranch T-Shirts

You probably know of Demolition Ranch, a popular gun related YouTube Channel. Chances are you, you’ve seen Matt (the host) doing crazy stuff with shotguns, showing off home-made firearm inventions, being stalked by a creepy lisping manikin named Cooter, and just generally having fun with guns. But did you also know that Matt is a veterinarian and part of another Youtube Channel/organization called Vet Ranch?

Vet Ranch is a non-profit organization that provides veterinary care to homeless animals in need. You can check out their website for details. Their work is funded by completely by donations. You can give directly to them at their site or Magpul has stepped up to give you another option. They are offering two new Vet Ranch t-shirts and will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales to Vet Ranch.

Armageddon Gear Numero Uno Shooting Bag

Apparently PRS officials thought shooters were getting out of hand with all their various shooting bags hanging off their gear. So, they limited them to just a single bag. Now PRS shooters are put in the position of having to choose between their rear bag, a pillow style bag, or something else.

Armageddon Gear head honcho and professional shooter, Tom Fuller, chose… something else.

The Numero Uno Shooting Bag from Armageddon Gear is the one shooting that is big enough to replace all your other shooting bags and if you haven’t guess by now, its also a joke. The video is awesome and worth taking a moment to view.

The best part is that, in spite of this being a joke, you can still buy it. I have it on good authority that it makes a very comfortable beanbag chair. Check out the Numero Uno Shooting Bag at Armageddon Gear.

Blue Force Gear Pouches on Your Bike

Attaching tactical/military pouches to bicycles is nothing new but I have found that Blue Force Gear’s Utility Pouches with Helium Whisper backing work particularly well. They are very lightweight by design and the Helium Whisper backing has a rubbery texture that, when woven tight, really grips the bike and prevents the pouch from moving.

BFG Pouch on Bike

The image above shows a BFG Small Utility Pouch attached to the handlebar of a mountain bike so that the pouch rests on the stem. The picture makes it appear quite large but it actually fits in the space very well. It is a great place to store some bike tools, a pair of gloves, a spare tube, and any other items you may need.

I have also used the same pouch attached to the support members of a rear bike rack and attached to the frame in various ways. Basically, as long as you can be a little creative with how you weave the straps, you can find a ton of ways to mount these pouches to a bike.

I use this Small Utility Pouch because I just happen to have a couple in my gear box. My next step is to order some of the larger pouches to see how I might be able to use them. For instance, the Medium Horizontal Utility Pouch or Large Utility Pouch might work well as a front mounted handlebar bag.

Old School or New School – MDFI

MDFI recently shared a graphic that they created on their Facebook page. I thought it was worth sharing here.

It’s a good reminder that doesn’t matter if you like plastic or walnut, Melonite or blued steel, kydex or leather. Times change, gear changes, the people using the gear changes, and even training changes… but the need to train never does.

Armageddon Gear Gunsmith Apron

If you are a gunsmith (or do things in your garage with a rotary tool that approximates gunsmithing), you have an acceptable excuse to wear and apron… In fact, you probably should wear one. It keeps your clothes clean and lets you keep your tools close at hand. That is the idea behind Armageddon Gear’s new Gunsmith Apron.

The apron is as bomb-proof as everything else Armageddon Gear makes with its 1000D Cordura construction. It has an assortment of pockets, a loop field for adding patches, and 3×4 PALS field for adding a pouch or just tucking in a pen. The waist strap has a side release buckle so you don’t have to tie and untie it every time you put it on or take it off.

It’s good enough for the rifle gurus at GA Precision (image below) so it is good enough for all you basement Dremel experts. Check out the Armageddon Gear Gunsmith Apron.
