Memorial Day 2019

It can be easy to lose grasp of the real meaning of Memorial Day. Between the day off work, the cook outs, the parties, the commercial form of patriotism that is displayed by retailers, and just a general misunderstanding of who this day honors… it is no wonder people have lost track.

Many towns have a memorial statue, garden, plaque, or monument to honor veterans who have passed away in service tot heir nation somewhere in a park or near a government building. My family and I have found that visiting one of these sites and reading the names can make real the concept that actual people, from our own community, have given their lives for this nation.

Consider dropping by your community’s memorial with your family before you start grilling.

New for 2019: Attach or remove your GoPro camera to any Magpul M-LOK mount in half a second with the KDG purpose built Kinect M-LOK GoPro mount.  The mount is perfect for the three-gun shooter that wants to film a run from the perspective of the rifle or shotgun.  It is also ideal for a Law Enforcement Officer that wants to document use of force when a rifle or shotgun is deployed.  The GoPro is one of the smallest HD cameras that offers a wide field of view, making it ideal for use with rifles, shotgun, or helmet using KDG’s patented Kinect technology and MLOK attachment points. The mount also works on the KDG M-LOK Optics Hub alongside your spotting scope.

In conjunction with the release of the Kinect GoPro mount, KDG will also be releasing in limited quantities, a molle/strap M-LOK plate (Pictured on the pack below). This plate will allow mounting of the Kinect Go Pro to your molle gear (ie: plate carrier, chest rig) or backpack straps. It will also work with any M-LOK compatible accessory.

Spirit of Blue – K9 Portrait Contest

Police K9 handlers and their partners have a special bond.  They’re workmates throughout each shift and family members when they head home.  These K9s work hard to provide capabilities humans don’t have, like drug and explosive detection, tracking, and apprehension skills.  To recognize and honor them, Spirit of Blue is celebrating the love between working dogs and their handlers by awarding one winner a custom, hand-drawn portrait of their K9 by artist Scott Vitolins (www.svitolinsart.com).
