Mission First Tactical Battlelink Minimalist Stock (BMS)

Mission First Tactical is showing off the latest addition to their BattleLink series of stocks – the BattleLink Minimalist Stock or BMS. The BMS joins the BattleLink Utility and BattleLink Utility Low Profile Stock (which we reviewed).

MFT tested this production prototype of the stock until it cracked.

The BMS is certainly a light weight stock. It weighs in at under 4 ounces and MFT claims that it is the lightest on the market. Don’t let the word “minimalist” and its light weight make you think this stock lacks features. This stock retains much of the functionality for which the BattleLink stocks are known. It retains the ability to accept the Mission First Tactical Foretrex Upper Mount. The BMS also has several sling mounting points including a QD sling swivel socket near the forward part of the stock. It also has the angled buttpad which I liked so much when reviewed the BatteLink Utility Low Profile Stock.

Apex Extractor in Gen 3 GLOCKs

Randy Lee from Apex Tactical Specialties recently posted information about the performance of his G-FRE (GLOCK Failure Resistant Extractor). While the extractor has been a huge success in Gen 4 guns, he has been disappointed with its performance in Gen 3 guns. As a result, he has announced that he will begin work on a Gen 3 specific version of the G-FRE. You can read his thoughts on M4Carbine.net.

Not only is this great news for shooters who are struggling to get their late manufacture 9mm Gen 3 Glocks to function as reliably as they would like, but it is also a display of the type of transparency and self-evaluation that makes a company great. Check out ApexTactical.com.

Business End Customs G26L

Shooters have been “chopping” their GLOCK grips to take shorter magazines for years but it appears that Business End Customs has elevated these magazine conversions to an art form. They start with a GLOCK 19 or 23 and chop the grip short enough to take GLOCK 26 or 27 magazines (respectively). They also offer a host of other options like carry beveling, magwell cutouts, custom grip textures, refinishing, and sight installation. They top off the package with custom “G26L” laser markings.

DDLES AR-15 GLOCK Magazine Lowers

I am not a huge fan of pistol caliber carbines but I can see the utility of a carbine that takes the same magazines as your handgun in certain situations. Double Diamond Law Enforcement Supply (DDLES) makes AR-15 lowers that accept GLOCK magazines.

The lowers are available for either the GLOCK small frame magazines (9mm, .40SW, etc) or large frame magazines (.45ACP, 10MM). They are also available with a number of options like your choice of 6065 or 7075 aluminum, various selector markings, and custom engraving (handy for those building SBRs). They also sell barrels and complete uppers in various calibers to complete your build.
