Battle Arms Development BAD-ASS-ST Gen. 2
Battle Arms Development is getting ready to roll out several improvements to their BAD-ASS-ST (short throw). The new version will feature compatibility with the Wilson Combat TTU triggers and a 50 degree throw instead of the previous 45 degree throw.
Roger from Battle Arms Development explains the reasoning behind the change to a 50 degree throw:
When the detent is engaged in the selector’s detent holes, there’s a minor play, you can rotate the lever back and forth for a few degrees. This play is unavoidable, for the detent to seat in the detent holes, the holes must be slightly larger than the detent itself.
On a 90 degree, standard throw selector, this movement is insignificant. On a 45 degree selector, 2 to 3 degree of movement between SAFE and FIRE is far more noticeable.
The Gen. 2 version of the BAD-ASS-ST will still have the same “lawyer pin” to prevent these from being installed in standard AR-15 lowers.

UCWRG Website and Special Edition AR-15 Lower
The Umbrella Corporation Weapons Research Group website went live last night. It has tons of information on their product line including the grip that we recently reviewed and their limited edition AR-15 lower receivers. There are only 200 of the new lowers available and they have a very cool feature. The lug that you attach your pistol grip to has a patent pending taper on it that makes installing tight aftermarket grips a breeze.

New Options for the Chameleon Sling
The recently reviewed Chameleon Sling is now available with new color and hardware options. It is now available in black, tan, OD Green, Foliage Green, and MARPAT Brown. In addition to the new color options, you can now choose from three types of hardware connectors: the MASH Hooks, snap shackles, and push button QD swivels.

Echo Nine Three Sling Plate Improvements
Echo Nine Three (E93) has been rolling out a huge improvement to all of their sling plates. All of their sling plates are now Melonite treated for durability and corrosion resistance. The Melonite treatment replaces the powder coating that was used previously.
