Echo Nine Three’s SpecMod stock set is pretty slick. It blends traditional looks with features that the “modern” shooter expects. They recently produced a graphic that notes all the components and features in an easy to digest way.
VEIL Solutions has developed a pointed strut that bolts on to their standard Apex and Ghost holsters without modification to convert the holster to pocket carry configuration. The strut serves to ensure that the handgun and holster stay upright in the pocket and to catch the pocket so the holster breaks free of the handgun during your draw stroke.
Powell Custom Holsters has come up with an interesting holster design for use with Crimson Trace Rail Master lasers mounted on a handgun. The holster is molded in such a way that the Rail Master’s on/off paddle is activated when the handgun is holstered and unholstered. This means that you can turn on the laser and then insert it into the holster where it will automatically be turned off. When the handgun is unholstered, the laser is automatically activated.
This could be an interesting set up to use in conjunction with night vision and the IR versions of the Rail Master.
I have always appreciated Crimson Trace’s commitment to not only selling quality laser sights but also educating the consumer about them. Their newest free video series, Training with Laser Sights, gives the laser owner some tools for their training toolbox. Check out TrainingwithLaserSights.com to view all the videos.
The EMR V2 from ALG Defense is now available. This rail has many of the same features as the excellent EMR rail with the addition of an short section of integral rail at the top on the muzzle end and a ramp that blends the upper receiver into the rail more seamlessly. Like the EMR before it, the EMR V2 is a great value.
