There really aren’t many AK-47 armorer courses offered in spite of the fact that the venerable, old rifle is more popular than ever. Snake Hound Machine is stepping up to fill that void.
It should be noted that this is not a builders course (you won’t be bending flats or riveting). It covers history, design, and modification including about 8 hours of lecture and hands on time instruction.
SHM and the Dead Goose Society will hold a course on July 11th in Houston, Texas. They can also set up a course anywhere there is a gun-friendly space and at least 8 paying attendees so, if you aren’t near Houston, you can still gather up some buddies and bring a course to you.
Faxon Firearms is nearly ready to put their new extended rail for their ARAK-21 Upper Receivers into production. The upcoming rail is designed to blend into the ARAK-21’s existing rail. It features M-LOK compatible slots on the sides and bottom (the slots on the 45 degree surfaces are not M-LOK compatible). The extension will fit right hand and ambi ARAK-21 receivers but may require fitting to work with dedicated left hand receivers.
Pricing, weight, and availability have not been set at this time. Once available, this extended rail will be offered as an option to new ARAK-21 purchasers and as a separate accessory for current owners.
