GunfightersINC Spectre Shoulder Holster Upgrades

There are a lot of kydex benders that will help you put a holster on your waist. I think GunfightersINC is hell bent on being the leaders in putting a holster on your upper body with their Kenai Chest Holster and the Spectre Shoulder Holster! Speaking of the Spectre, they have just rolled out a few updates to it including new options, new lower pricing, and a new tool that makes it easy to customize your own Spectre.

The new cant options allow for full size handguns (G34 shown) and 33rd mags to remain concealable.

The new options available for the Spectre include a number of new weapon lights that you can choose on the holster side. You can also now choose to add a 45 degree cant or a vertical orientation to the holster side which makes concealing full size handguns like 1911s or Glock 34/35s easier.

The new pricing is now 25% less than the price of the Spectre at its introduction. GunfightersINC has improved their processes and have streamlined production on the Spectre to the point that they can bring the price in line with their popular Kenai Chest Holster. It’s the same holster but more efficiency means lower prices for you.

Finally, the new Spectre Shoulder Holster Configurator tool opens up a host of new options and gives you complete control over your holster. It walks you through the selection of every option for each configurable part on the Spectre.

If you want a pistol holster on one side and a suppressor holder on the other, you can do that. If you want pistol magazine pouches on both sides to support your pistol caliber carbine, you can do that. If you want pistol holsters on both sides so you can dual wield Glock 19s, you can do that too (just please don’t open carry them to Starbucks so we don’t all look bad).

Sneak Peek: Aridus Industries 870 to Beretta 1301 Stock Adapter

The Beretta 1301 might be the best defensive shotgun on the market right now but the only aftermarket company that seems to know that is Aridus Industries. There is currently very little in the way of aftermarket support for the 1301 especially as it pertains to buttstocks but there might just be a fix for that soon.

The image above gives us a sneak peek of what might be Aridus Industries’ next new product. It’s a an adapter that allows 1301 owners to mount Remington 870 stocks like the excellent Magpul SGA stock on their 1301. It may work for any 870 stock, but as you can see, it blends the contours of the Magpul stock to the receiver perfectly and adds very little to the length of pull.

Stay tuned for pricing and availability information.

Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun Match Raffle

Founded in 1996 and now in its’ 22nd year, the annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3 Gun (SMM3G) ranks as one of the longest running and most prestigious 3-Gun matches in the USA. As one of the first “Outlaw Matches”, SMM3G helped to blaze the trail and develop what modern 3 gun has become today. Held at the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, Arizona, SMM3G offers a unique blend of shooting challenges using rifle, shotgun and pistol encompassing close in, ultra-fast paper targets and flying shotgun clays through to precision rifle shots up to 500 yards. Combined with imaginative props and stage designs and a Prize Table that is one of the biggest in the country, it is little wonder why SMM3G ranks so highly on many 3 gunner’s “must do” list and is a sell out year after year.

One of the traditions of SMM3G is it’s annual raffle. Proceeds from the raffle are used to help fund the Match for the following year to enable the purchase of items such as paper and steel targets, tape and clays through to the building of new props for the various stages.

As a non-profit organization, every dollar earned by SMM3G through the generosity of Sponsors, Match fees and proceeds from the raffle goes back to our shooters, whether it be items for the prize table, construction of new props or purchase of targets, tape and clays. SMM3G is truly a match by shooters for shooters.

For 2017, KE Arms is proud to supply the raffle guns for SMM3G.  This year we are taking the raffle to the national level by offering tickets available for purchase on the KE Arms Website:

You Don’t Have to Go Nuts to Shave Weight on an AR-15 – SIONICS Lightweight Patrol Rifles

If you want to build an AR-15 under 5 pounds, you are going to have to get a little creative and it’s going to cost you. However, you don’t have to start skeletonizing things that shouldn’t be skeletonized or using exotic materials to build a rifle that will still carry light and function reliably.

SIONICS recently posted a picture of one of their Patrol Three Rifles on a scale. It weighs in at a scant 6.1 pounds with top quality, standard parts and in a ready to shoot configuration (with sights).

How do they do it? Did they flute the bolt carrier or use aluminum where you should use steel? Nope. This rifle still has a proper M16 BCG and other reliable, full weight parts. They just make use of a smart barrel profile and quality, lightweight hand guard. Those are the same places you should start when shedding weight. Or… Just check out a Patrol Three at SIONICS.
