Tardigrade Tactical Light Weight Dump Pouch

The new Light Weight Dump Pouch from Denmark based Tardigrade Tactical incorporates a number of clever features. It has a full mesh bottom panel to allow the pouch to shed dirt and moisture. It is large enough to hold 6 magazines but folds into an extremely compact size when not in use.

Finally, the interior of the dump pouch features PALS webbing so that something like a rifle magazine pouch may be mounted inside the Light Weight Dump Pouch. This space saving measure means allows the Light Weight Dump Pouch to occupy the same space as your mag pouch.

The chest rig shown in that post is the Ace-High 1 Chest Rig. This simple chest rig doesn’t have a lot of different pouches or features but the features that it does have are important. It features 3 open top magazine pouches with bungee retention and Haley Strategic MP2 insert compatibility. The mag pouches can accept a variety of magazines including AR-15 and AK-47 mags. The back of the Ace-High 1 features hook material and it can be docked on plate carriers with SwiftClip style attachment points.

The Hook from Spiritus Systems

It’s just an HK style snap hook attached to some hook and loop material but the Hook from Spiritus Systems might be the handiest piece of gear you’ll see all day. The hook allows you to quickly retain and retrieve gloves, hearing protection, chemlights, fuzzy dice, or anything else with a built in loop (or a loop that you add yourself).

If you are using the Hook with a Spiritus Systems chest rig, you simply affix it to the hook field on the back of the chest rig. This would also work with just about any chest rig that uses the SwiftClip method of docking on a plate carrier. Speaking of plate carriers, it could also be sandwiched into your plate carrier’s cummerbund. It could also be added to a loop field inside a backpack or any number of other places.

Extreme Gear Labs AK-47 Belt Pouch

Extreme Gear Labs has been working on a new belt mounted pouch for AK-47 shooters. The pouch manages to look like a vintage piece of of AK kit but it is thoroughly modern in materials and design.

The EGL AK-47 Belt Pouch is designed to mount on a typical loop backed shooters or rigger belt (1.75-2.00″ wide). The open top pouches accept .308 KYWIs inserts which serve to retain the magazine. The use a large bucket type pouch with a hard liner is a great way to retain an AK magazine as their lugs tend to tear up pouches that fit directly against the magazine.
