Hill People Gear is close to releasing a new Pocket Sling that will be able to convert their pockets like the Tarapocket and Palspocket into a stand alone sling pack. The adjustable strap features a padded side for comfort, keepers to manage the loose end of the strap, and a side release buckle for quick donning and doffing.

Whiskey Two Four’s new Ultralight Admin Panel leverages many of their available technologies to create a very light weight (and very affordable) loop panel for ID and patches. The MOLLE compatible backing with slots for threading and integral tabs is laser cut from WTF’s proprietary ACRONYM laminate material. This 6 x 3″ panel (4 columns, 2 rows) weighs just .6 oz (18 grams).

Cold weather can be hard on electronics. The cold shortens battery life which is no good for critical gear like GPS or cell phones. FHF Gear’s new Tech Pouches are built with this reality in mind.
These pouches have two features that help protect and preserve electronics during backcountry travel. First, they are insulated. This helps keep the cold out an the warm in (more on this in a moment). It also protects from impacts. Second, these pouches have a hand warmer pocket (chemical or electronic) that warms the contents of the pouch.
The pouch is constructed from 500D Cordura with laser cut Dyneema backing. The backer is MOLLE compatible and can be set up for belt carry. The Tech Pouch is available in two sizes – Standard (phones up to 6.4 x 3.25″) and Plus (phones up to 7 x 3.5″).
Dropped holsters, even those that aren’t dropped that much, can rotate on the axis of the belt during the draw stroke. In some cases this is just a nuisance that causes a slight hitch in the draw stroke. However, in the worst cases, it causes the gun to bind and completely fouls the draw. That is obviously a big deal when you have made the decision to go to the gun. A single leg strap that helps fix the holster to the wearer’s leg is an easy fix.
That is wear gear like Zulu Nylon Gear’s new NUHTS (Never Unstable Holster Tactical Strap) come in. The 1″ wide webbing strap is designed to simply slip onto several common holster mounting solutions like the Safariland QLS and G Code RTI. It features a sewn in elastic section that allows some flex for comfort.

There are a handful of hard warmers already available on the tactical gear market. The new IceShield Plate Carrier Hand Warmer from Qore Performance is different in one key way from these other muff style warmers… It lays almost completely flat when it isn’t in use. This makes it very low profile and even allows it to be worn behind most drop pouches.
IceShield secures to a plate carrier (or even some chest rigs that have hook/loop fields on the back) via a hook and loop tab that can be sandwiched into the cummerbund flap. It’s lined with PolarTec insulation and has internal pockets for use with heat packs.
