Damage Industries Buttstock, M4 Carbine w/QD Sockets

The Damage Industries Buttstock, M4 Carbine w/QD Sockets looks a lot like the standard M4 stock that comes on many AR-15s with collapsible stocks. However, it has an additional useful feature – QD sling swivel sockets. The sockets are located toward the front of the stock, just in front of the release lever.

These stocks are available in a wider variety of colors than your typical standard M4 stock. They have all of the usual colors like FDE, OD Green, and Black along with a really good looking darker brown called SHTF Brown.

M-47BA AK-47 Magazine

This should be pretty exciting news to all of you AK shooters out there. The new M-47BA magazine is now available and you are going to flip when you see the features and the price.

The M-47BA is very similar to other magazines that have been on the market for some time, the so-called Bulgarian slab side magazines. These magazines have a pretty poor reputation for breaking feed lips because they are not reinforced with metal. However, the new Bulgarian M-47BA magazine has metal reinforcement in the locking lugs, spine, and feed lips – much like the venerable Bulgarian Circle-10 magazines.

While the Circle-10 magazines cost more than $30 a piece when you can find them, the new M-47BA mags cost $20 and they are available right now from K-VAR.

Green Lasers Coming Soon from Crimson Trace

People have been after Crimson Trace for years to come out with green lasers. Well, the wait is almost over. Crimson Trace will be introducing new green laser models for several different weapons in September.

Green lasers are much easier to see, especially in day light conditions. A green laser aiming point can generally be seen further away and more easily seen in bright conditions. They can also be handy for people like myself, who are color blind and don’t see red particularly well.

S.O. Tech Redesigns the BLOCS Quick Eject Tourniquet Carrier

SOTech enhances the Quick Eject Tourniquet with input from the field.

SOTech has responded to requests from the field and upgraded the BLOCS Quick Eject Tourniquet Carrier with the addition of a rubber band and retention tab. The tab and rubber band give the operator the option to have the tourniquet hang from the tab in the center of the panel after the shroud is burst open. Most customers were happy with the tourniquet popping out into their hand upon releasing the snap and bursting the shroud open. However, some were concerned about applying a tourniquet while on the move, so we added the rubber band retention for that. A light weight rubber band is supplied so the wounded and bleeding casualty can easily snap the band while pulling the tourniquet away from the shroud. Additionally, a stitch was added to the shroud fastening it to the harness at a second point in order to form a slight cup to add light retention while bursting the shroud. Note that the tourniquet carrier can be used with or without the rubber band.

SOTech also want to call attention to the pairing of the Flat IFAK with the BLOCS Quick Eject Tourniquet Carrier. While the IFAK has room for the tourniquet to be carried internally, it was intended to be purchased with the separate tourniquet carrier so the tourniquet could be mounted on the front of the vest while the rest of the IFAK elements could be comfortably and compactly stowed in the lower back region using SOTech’s Flat IFAK. Both products are in wide use throughout law enforcement and the military.
