New Model from Colonel Blades: NCO NoVz

Colonel Blades just rolled out their newest and most concealable fixed blade yet. It features the same 2.75″ blade that can be found on the NCO LowVz but the grip is a full 1″ shorter for improved concealment. Like other blades in the NCO line, the new NoVz features machined G-10 handle slabs and AUS-8 steel. It comes with a kydex sheath with an IWB belt clip suitable for center-line carry.

Sneak Peek: Hill People Gear Tarahumara in Multicam Black and Tropic

Hill People Gear released their popular Tarahumara Pack in Multicam Black in September of last year. That limited run has since sold out. However, we now have word that there will be another run of Multicam Black Tarahumara Packs and there will be another Multicam Tarahumara offering – Multicam Tropic!

PHLster Gen 2 TDI Fightworthy Sheath Upgrade

There have been a number of changes to the Ka-Bar TDI Law Enforcement Knife over the years. This knife remains an absolute bargain when it comes to self-defense knives but things like thickness and even the shape of the primary bevel have seen changes throughout long time production of this knife. Most aftermarket TDI sheaths do not account for these changes in their design which can lead to poor fit and performance.

PHLster has updated their TDI Fightworthy Sheath to include dual tension adjustments. These adjustments should let the sheath offer better performance across all of the available TDI production variations. I do not know of another TDI sheath on the market with adjustable retention.

Tuff Possum Gear Modified 10×12 Center-Zip Pouch – Easy Way to Add Capacity to HPG Tarahumara

If you are looking for an easy way to add some capacity and organization to your Hill People Gear Tarahumara, check out the Tuff Possum Gear (TPG) Modified 10×12 Center-Zip Pouch. TPG’s Center-Zip Pouches were originally designed as general purpose pouches that could organize small gear in a large pack or serve as possibles pouches.

They posted a custom modification of one such pouch on their social media that was slightly larger than their typical Center-Zip Pouch and had the addition of 2 webbing loops with GrimLocs. These additions allowed the pouch to mate perfectly with the top loops of the Hill People Gear Tarahumara. The idea grew legs from there and now they offer these pouches regularly in small batches.

The Modified 10×12 Center-Zip Pouch attaches to the top loops on the Tarahumara. It hangs down on the front of the pack and is captured with the Tarahumara’s compression straps. This configuration adds capacity while maintaining compression and allowing easy access to the main compartment by simply opening the compression straps and flipping the pouch up out of the way.
