Rifle Dynamics Red Oktober Kalashnikov Challenge Update

Rifle Dynamics has been on board for a while now as the title sponsor for the upcoming Red Oktober Kalashnikov Challenge. They recently released a video update that features Jim Fuller, Rifle Dynamics head honcho, speaking with the event organizers and showing some footage from the test runs of the Red Oktober shooting stages.

The event has already grown from a shooting challenge to a full blown AK industry trade show with many of the biggest names in AKs sponsoring the shoot and planning to exhibit their wares. There will be tons of products to check out, guns to shoot, food, camping, and even live entertainment over the course of 3 days.

The event takes place on October 28th through 30th at Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range. You can visit the event website for additional details.

Clear Sided BX-25 Magazines from Ruger

Ruger is now offering BX-25 magazines with a clear side panel that allows the shooter to see the magazine’s internals and the ammo contained. The BX-25 is the only extended magazine that I have used that comes close to the reliability of that standard 10 round magazines for the 10/22. The new clear panel is just a very cool bonus for an already useful magazine.

Primary & Secondary: Administration & Logistics

Primary & Secondary is already a great resource for disseminating firearm training content but now they will be offering a service that takes an even more active role in connecting students with trainers. The new Primary & Secondary: Administration & Logistics (PSAL) service will basically serve as a back office of sorts for trainers so that they, the trainers, can focus on training.

From PSAL:

This will be our service to bridge the gap between training companies and students. We are offering administrative services as well as advertising to training companies to remove a tedious aspect of their business so they may focus on what really matters – the training!

PSAL already represents an impressive portfolio of trainers:

  • Agile Training (Chuck Haggard)
  • Direct Action Resource Center
  • Practical Firearms Training (Rob Tackett)
  • Reston Group (Jared Reston)
  • Tap-Rack Tactical (Bill Blowers)
  • CTOMS
  • Falcon Tactical
  • Sentinel Concepts (Steve Fisher)
  • Victory First (Matt Jacques)

If you want to learn more or host one of these trainers in your area, email: logistics@primaryandsecondary.com
