The Emerson Knives CQC-7 can already be opened via the thumb disk or the patented Emerson Wave Opener. Now this absolutely classic tactical knife is about to learn a new trick. Behold the upcoming Emerson Knives CQC-7BW Flipper!
About dang time!
I don’t see any down side to flippers. They’re an easy way to open a knife, and works as a finger guard to keep your hand from slipping forward. My old Kershaw Zing is showing its age, but I don’t want to go to a knife without a flipper. Admittedly, I mostly use the thumb stud now, but I still appreciate having the flipper.

So….I somehow need to make my Kershaw CQC-4k and FDE Skyline to have sex and produce this offspring!
