Jesse at PredatorArmament dropped me a note about the new SORD USA Light Field Uniform that they are now carrying. They have been carrying the regular Field Uniform for a while now and just recently added the new light version. The original SORD USA Field Uniform received high praise from users as a relatively low cost, premium uniform option. The Light Field Uniform offers the same durable construction as the original but some of the features have been removed in the interest of saving even more cost and weight.
The materials used for the Light Field Uniform Pants and Jacket vary based on the color of the uniform. Multicam untilizes 50/50 NYCO rip-stop, A-TACS AU utilizes 52/48 NYCO rip-stop, and the solid tan version is 100% cotton.
The streamlining of the Light Field Uniform is extensive. The jacket has only 2 pockets compared to the 9 pockets of the original Field Uniform. The mandarin collar is common to both versions. The pants feature only 6 pockets compared to 10 and lack the reinforcement in the seat of the original.
