Mil-Spec Monkey is still hard at work testing the various shades of grey in an attempt to identify the most versatile Urban Grey. In the most recent round of testing he moves past 2 dimensional color samples and into 3 dimensional, real-world objects. If nothing else, this sort of testing highlights the difficulty in selecting a single shade to match as many background as possible. Check out the Monkey’s efforts at Mil-Spec Monkey.

Armageddon Gear Micro GP Pouch
The new Armageddon Gear Micro GP Pouch is now available. This MOLLE compatible, compact, general-purpose pouch is 5″ wide, 6″ tall, and just 1″ thick. It has elastic loop organization inside to keep your small items from shifting.
I like to keep a small GP pouch on my MOLLE belt, especially for training. It allows me to keep things I need to ensure I get the most out of the training day like a small pen, Sharpie, note pad, tools, and similar items. This looks like it would be ideal for such applications thanks to it’s thin profile. It could provide some admin storage without getting in the way like the typical GP pouches I use now which are thicker and do not provide organization loops.
This looks like a very handy pouch. Check out the Armageddon Gear Micro GP Pouch.
MSM Dives DEEPER in to Urban Grey
Last week we shared a project that Mil-Spec Monkey has been working on in order to find the most versatile shade of grey possible for urban environments. He recently published the second installment of the article (bottom of the page). It is a short read and worth a look.
I will be really interested to see if any manufacturers are paying attention to the Monkey’s work.
