E93 “Paki Tape”

E93 Paki Tape

Echo Nine Three is now offering rolls of genuine “Paki Tape!” They actually brought it over from Afghanistan so it is the real deal. This stuff is used all over the Middle East and Southeast Asia to add a bit of flair to firearms of all kinds. Those of you who have spent a little time in AR15.com’s General Discussion forum (woe unto you) will no doubt be familiar with the near supernatural powers such tape can impart to the user. It’s powerful, powerful stuff and not to be taken lightly.

Note: Late 80’s and early 90’s teen heart throb stickers are not included. You’ll have to dig those out of your collection.

Wrap some real deal Paki Tape on an AK near you! Check out Echo Nine Three.

One Response to E93 “Paki Tape”

Okay, I already weighed in on this at tfb, but I thought I’d follow up here just in case. I’m no expert in such matters, but being an engineer by training I spent a fair amount of time with people of Pakistani and Indian descent. Depending on the ethnicity of the speakers and listeners, as well as the generation they are in and what country it is being spoken, the word ‘Paki’ can be anything from an abbreviation of the word ‘Pakistani’ to an extreme ethnic slur. For the purposes of white (or I suppose any non-Indian or Pakistani) Americans I have been told that I should think of it like the word ‘nigger’. Which may be overkill, but remains a more polite and safe modus vivendi.

I may be misinformed on the matter as I have been known to misunderstand things and languages do drift over time anyway, but I thought a fact-check might be in order for you guys, since I’m sure that if there were any mistake of this sort it was an honest one.

The names assigned to things by young men serving in the armed forces are often not exactly politically correct and family friendly, but there’s a rich tradition of bowdlerizing these names for public use. Just a thought.
