The APO Experience

Your wife wants a real vacation. You want to take a precision rifle course. You can both get what you want with the APO Experience.

APO Experience

APO stands for Ashbury Precision Ordnance, one of the premier names in precision rifles. The APO Experience is an all-inclusive precision rifle training experience that is similar to a premium golf getaway or high-end hunting lodge experience. You get to work with APO to choose from their beautiful training locations and accommodations. They provide top-flight trainers, 5 star accommodations, gourmet food, and a variety of seriously cool rifles.

In the courses, you will get a chance to train on long range targets, extreme long range targets, high angle shooting, and more. This is real long range training that is tailored to anyone from the beginner to the experienced.

Check out the APO Experience on their new website.

ALG Defense Expands AK Line

ALG Defense has expanded their line of AK accessories beyond just triggers to include replacement springs. This is great news for AK shooters since high quality replacement springs have not always been easy to find in the US market.

ALG Defense has also been showing their AKT-E, the “enhanced” version of their excellent AK trigger, at SHOT Show 2016. The new AKT-E features shorter reset and less over-travel than the original AKT.

CRKT and Artificum Solis Collaboration Knife – Clever Girl

The Clever Girl with its sweeping, Persian style blade is one of Artificum Solis‘ most recognizable knives. While the Clever Girl is already pretty affordable for a custom fixed blade, it is about to become even easier on your wallet with the announcement that CRKT will be offering a production version.

The production Clever Girl is ground from .158″ thick SK5 steel and matches the custom’s dimension closely with its 4.6″ blade. It also features sculpted G-10 handle scales and a functional molded nylon sheath.

Battle Arms Development MRO Mount News

Battle Arms Development has released a new image of the production prototype for their upcoming MRO mount. This mount, being a production prototype, should be fairly close to the actual production piece. The radically skeletonized design is extremely lightweight (just .78 oz including screws) but doesn’t skimp where it counts with plenty of rail grabber surface area and two cross-bolts.

TOPS Knives and Bushcraft Global Brakimo Collaboration Knife

Joe Flowers, Bushcraft Global head honcho, is no stranger to knife design. Several successful designs have been pulled from his mind and put into steel. The latest such design is the Brakimo that is being produces by TOPS Knives with Bushcraft Global.

Details are still sparse at this time but the knife features micarta slab handles with a bow drill divot and a massive lanyard loop which is probably a good thing if you are working over water in the jungle. The knife also features a drop point blade with a scandi or modified scandi grind probably similar to what you will find on the TOPS BOB Field Knife.

EDIT: We have received some additional specs.

  • Blade Length: 5 1/4″
  • Handle Length: 4 1/2″
