New from Seekins Precision – Havok Bolt Rifles

Seekins Precision is now offering a line of built to order bolt action rifles. Their new line of Havok Bolt Rifles consists of two offerings – the tactical Havok Bravo and the hunting oriented Havok Pro Hunter PH1.

While the PH1 and Bravo are aimed squarely at different markets, they do share several common features. Both are built aroun the Seekins Precision Havok action with features like a full diameter bolt, 4 locking lugs, 90 degree bolt throw, helical extraction cam, and M16 style extractor. Seekins Precision states that this action is designed to be extremely strong:

The bolt lugs, when locked in battery, are oriented at 3 and 9 o’clock. This is different from the typical 12 and 6 o’clock positioning that places the bottom lug directly behind the feed ramp where there is very little material in the action. Our Havak bolt design allows for a generous feed ramp situating the bolt lugs in the strongest area of the action.

Both rifles also feature Timney 510 triggers, AICS magazine compatibility, 5R rifled barrels, threaded muzzle (5/8 x 24), and 20 MOA scope rails. However there are also differences between the rifles. The PH1, with its hunting focus, has more barrel length and caliber options along with a ProComp CH1 carbon composite stock. The Bravo features a KRG Bravo Chassis.

Victory First V43

Victory First is currently developing a new slide for Glock 43 handguns. The V43 slide is similar in length to the Glock 19 but slimmer so that it fits the Glock 43 frame.

The V43 slide is designed to offer increased sight radius and the benefits of a longer slide for AIWB carry. The slide is 6.89″ in length and offers a 4.33″ long barrel.

Initial images of the V43 have texturing based on the Victory 1st logo. The most recent renderings (below) show a chamfered muzzle end and a weight reduction cut.

The V43 is currently in development. Keep an eye on Victory-First.com for details on pricing and availability.

REPTILIA CQG Grip for AR-15/SR-25

The CQG Grip from REPTILIA is designed to be right at home on SBRs, AR Pistols, and PDW style firearms with its compact design and more vertical grip angle. However many of these features, coupled with a hand-filling shape and well formed beaver tail, would make it a good fit for any rifle or pistol that accepts an AR-15 compatible grip.

From REPTILIA:

The CQG pistol grip has been specifically designed to enhance ergonomics and performance for the rise in popularity of compact sized short-barreled rifles, AR15 pistols, and pistol caliber carbines.

Featuring a more pronounced vertical grip angle, anti-slip front and rear texture, and an enhanced beaver tail design; the CQG encourages the shooter’s hand to be positioned higher on the grip, for greater control and improved comfort.

The CQG is designed for a wide range of hand sizes and weapon configurations. Molded from high-strength reinforced polymer, the CQG is compatible with AR15/M16, AR10/SR25, and SIG MPX/MCX platforms that features a full lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects – buy with confidence. L V Seven – Rifles for Women

V Seven Weapon Systems just launched a brand new company division, L V Seven, dedicated entirely to developing rifles specifically for women. Their mission statement does a great job of conveying what they are trying to accomplish:

L V Seven has been a project in the making for the better part of two years.  Our parent company, V Seven Weapon Systems, has led the industry in development of new products and advanced materials for the AR market.  We’ve pushed the limit on what was possible to build a truly improved, superior firearm.  We build our products to be the lightest, strongest, and most durable AR’s and components available.  We like to say, “lightweight with no compromises”.

The large majority of our V Seven customers are men, but we are aware of the increasing number of female shooters.  Whether it’s in hunting, in competition, or maybe just for fun, more and more women are becoming interested in the sport and we wanted to offer a product specifically designed for them.  So, the new ladies division was established and L V Seven was born.

From the beginning, our focus has been to create a product for female shooting enthusiasts.  No matter your age or skill level, our goal is to build a firearm that fits you.  The overall feel, the carry weight, and handling of our rifles is different than what is currently available in the AR industry.  Each L V Seven piece is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, ergonomically sized and comfortable for women.

Our mission goes beyond just building pretty guns.  We want our customers to have a quality firearm.  One that will function reliably and accurately when expected to.  L V Seven rifles are manufactured to the same high standards as V Seven rifles.  We’ve just designed them for our fellow sisters.  Our hope is to encourage ladies to gather their girls and get outdoors.  Head to the woods, get in the field, or off to the range.  Set up some targets and knock ’em down.  We’ll be out there with you.

Fitting with their purpose, L V Seven rifles make extensive use of V Seven’s lightweight parts to keep weight to a minimum. They also feature unique color schemes that are likely to appeal to female shooters.
