Echo Nine Three just release a teaser for their new AK grip and its a looker.
Inspired by the grip of the SVDS rifle and many of the modern grips for M4 type rifles. We set out to bring the same modern handling attributes to the Kalashnikov platform.
Provisionally named the “Eighty Five”. This grip provides an 85 degree grip angle to the line of bore when installed on the rifle. Standard AK grips are typically at 70 degrees.
These are US made of superior quality Baltic Marine Birch laminate and will be available in Soviet Red, Chicom Orange or unfinished. They install with a standard AK grip screw (not included). We anticipate availability in the second quarter of this year. To be placed on the availability notification list, please email us at info@echo93.com. Also, let us know if you prefer finished laminate, unfinished laminate, finished hardwood or unfinished hardwood.
Angstadt Arms has taken the wraps off their SCW-9 Sub Compact Weapon and their new Sub Compact Stock that is short, short, short!
From Angstadt Arms:
Charlotte, NC, (November 14, 2018) Angstadt Arms is proud to introduce the SCW-9 Sub Compact Weapon. The SCW-9 was designed to meet the strict requirements of the U.S. Army Sub Compact Weapon program. At just 14.7” long and 4 lbs., the SCW- 9 provides greater lethality than pistols and much greater concealability over standard rifles. With a rate of fire of 1,110 rounds per minute, the SCW-9 is capable of accurately engaging threats with a high volume of lethal force.
SCW-9 Key Design Elements
Fully ambidextrous controls, including magazine release, safety selector, charging handle and bolt catch and release
Accepts GLOCK® 9mm magazines
4” barrel with 3-lug adapter for sound suppression
Ability to fire UTM marking and training rounds
Overall length collapsed: 14.7”
Collapsed stock length: 2.5”
Weight: 4 lbs
Rate of Fire (approximate): 1,100 rounds per minute
The Shortest Sub Compact Stock System
In addition to 9mm, the shortened stock system developed for the SCW-9 has been tested in both 5.56 NATO and .300 AAC Blackout calibers. This allows any M4 style rifle to reduce its overall collapsed stock length from 7” to just 2.5”. Making it the shortest telescoping AR-15 stock system available.
Angstadt Arms has plans to offer the shortened stock system to other manufacturers who wish to incorporate it into their firearms. A pistol brace version of the shortened stock system is currently in development for the U.S. commercial market.
About Angstadt Arms: Angstadt Arms designs innovative weapon platforms for military, law enforcement and responsible citizens. Their flagship UDP-9 9mm AR and sub-machine guns are currently deployed in over 25 countries worldwide.
If you shoot and carry revolvers, you are likely already familiar with the excellent TUFF Products QuickStrips. They are a slim, lightweight way to carry a reload for your favorite wheelgun and they just became even easier to carry thanks to NeoMag.
The NeoMag RASC is a pocket clip that clamps on the end of QuickStrip. It is machined in house at NeoMag from 6061 aluminum and includes a steel pocket clip. This simple addition to the QuickStrip makes a lot of sense. It allows the QuickStrip to lay flat against the wearer and ensures that it is oriented such that it is immediately accessible from the pocket.
Without the RASC, speed strip style loaders tend to drop to the bottom of the pocket and move around. With the RASC, the strip would be in the same place and orientation every time.
(Melbourne, FL) January 14, 2019 – FightLite® Industries, the country’s leading manufacturer of innovative, mission-configurable firearms, parts and accessories announces the official production launch of its caliber and magazine convertible FightLite® MXR®!
The new patent-pending FightLite® MXR® is a multi-caliber, pistol cartridge platform that is primarily chambered for 9mm NATO and is caliber convertible at the user level without tools to include .22LR, 9mm NATO, .357 Sig, .40 S&W, 10mm, 45ACP and FN 5.7 x 28mm. The compact MXR® is suppressor capable via a threaded barrel and will also accept a variety of common pistol magazine types including those from Glock, Sig, Beretta, CZ, S&W, and many others. Available in pistol, carbine and select-fire submachine gun models that are suitable for civilian, law enforcement and military use.
Manufactured in the USA of aerospace grade materials, the MXR® is offered in two sizes; a Standard model with a 7” barrel and a more compact “K” model with 5” barrel. Features include MIL-STD 1913 rails at the 6-12 o’clock positions and Magpul® M-Lok interfaces at 3-9 o’clock positions of its monolithic receiver for optimum strength and accessory retention. Also included as standard equipment for the MXR® are ambidextrous controls, M4-compatible fire control and pistol grip interface, AR stock/brace interface and a left-side charging handle for quick and easy use. The compact and reliable FightLite® MXR® leads the pistol caliber market with a lightweight and accurate product that improves user and agency logistics and ammunition management by permitting its users to have complete caliber and magazine commonality between their choice of everyday sidearm and their FightLite® MXR®.
“The MXR was born from an operational logistics failure that we first observed after the Bataclan terrorist attack in Paris a few years ago and have now seen many times over, principally by law enforcement users of submachine guns and pistol caliber carbines.” says FightLite® CEO Geoffrey Herring. “We noticed that while department pistol ammunition may be standardized, officers frequently don’t have pistol magazine commonality with others on their own force. And it gets worse when a pistol caliber carbine or submachine gun is introduced into the equation.
So for example, a SWAT member may have a Glock or M&P as their sidearm and an MP5 or other as their subgun. And while both weapons may be 9mm, there is no sharing of magazines between the sidearm and the subgun. So the MXR fixes that logistical problem and not only permits the user to share magazines between his sidearm and his FightLite MXR; it also permits the user to change sidearms and magazine types and adapt his MXR to his new pistol magazine type. So if it’s a Glock today and maybe a Sig or different caliber Glock pistol tomorrow, we can accommodate that change with our MXR so that law enforcement, military and civilian users can streamline their training and ammunition management and maintain rational logistical commonality between their systems to reduce the obvious shortcomings of not having them paired.”
MSRP starts at $799 and FightLite® will be accepting Dealer Orders during SHOT Show. To learn more about the innovative and patent-pending MXR® or to place Dealer orders, please visit FightLite® Booth 12971, New Product Display area and RSR Booth at SHOT Show 2019! MXR…One Weapon, ANY Mission!®
