Primary Arms 1-6×30 Scope with ACSS Reticle

Primary Arms has shown an ability to bring a solid optic to market at a reasonable price. Their optics are especially popular on training carbines where you may not want to spend top dollar on the exact same optics to match your go-to carbine. Their most recent announcement, a 1-6×30 optic for just $250, is sure to find its way onto a carbine near you.

Primary Arms 1-6X ACSS

It will feature what Primary Arms is calling the ACSS reticle. The ACSS incorporates bullet drop compensation, range estimation, wind, and leads. The reticle is illuminated and located in the second focal plane. See the video below for more information about the reticle.

This optic will be available with a number of optional accessories like mounts, scope caps, and mini reflex optic mounts.

White Sound Defense S&W M&P Guide Rod and Recoil Spring

White Sound Defense (WSD) has just introduced their latest guide rod for the Smith & Wesson M&P. WSD doesn’t make just any run of the mill steel guide rod. Their designs have functionality you won’t find anywhere else and the typical attention to materials, coatings, and designs that you have come to expect from WSD.

WSD G19 Guide Rod

The most noticeable feature of their guide rods is their extended length. The guide rod actually sticks out from the muzzle end of the M&P slightly to act as standoff in the event that a contact shot must be delivered. The standoff function of this guide rod makes it much less likely that the M&P will be pressed out of battery if the muzzle is pressed into someone or something when a shot must be fired.

The guide rod and spring are made from no compromise materials. The guide rod is made from durable 4340 alloy steel which is titanium nitride for corrosion resistance. The spring is made from music wire and then plated to prevent corrosion.

The springs match factory weight so that they do not alter the reliability of the M&P. I own several of these for my Glocks and they have all run like tops.

I should also note that the guide rod has a small transverse hole which can be used to wind the spring effortlessly onto the guide rod if you insert a paper clip. It makes it just as easy to install as a captured unit.

Check out White Sound Defense and buy your own M&P Guide Rod and Springs at CPWSA. We are giving away 2 Guide Rod and Spring sets! Head over to the giveaway page to check it out.

Low-Pro Products RMR Mount

The Trijicon RMR is gaining popularity as a primary optic on carbines, especially with the introduction of a the manually adjustable brightness models. In spite of this growing popularity, there still aren’t many mounting options available. Low-Pro Products will soon release their Picatinny Mount for the Trijicon RMR.

The Low-Pro RMR Mount features lightweight aluminum construction to compliment the light weight of the RMR. It has large wings on each side that protect the sight. The wings are skeletonized to reduce weight and allow access to the brightness controls on the adjustable RMR models. The mount can be low mounted on something like a shotgun or paired with the Low-Pro Products JPoint/Docter Optics Mount Riser
(Mfr # A-2076) for use on an AR-15.

The Low-Pro RMR Mount will be available at Low-Pro Products and Grey Group Training soon.
