IWC LM8 1913 Offset Adaptive Light Mount

The new LM8 1913 Offset Adaptive Light Mount from Impact Weapons Components brings the functionality of the THORNTAIL Offset 1913 Adaptive Light MOUNT-N-SLOT to 2 new mounting platforms. It is designed to work with the excellent Centurion Arms CMR Rails and the LMT LM8 carbines.

Like the original THORNTAIL Offset 1913 Adaptive Light MOUNT-N-SLOT, the LM8 1913 Offset Adaptive Light Mount allows the user to mount any 1913 rail compatible light like the INFORCE WML or Surefire x300 Ultra to the rail at an offset that makes using the light more comfortable for some. The light can be positioned to fall right at your support hand thumb for easy activation.

The LM8 1913 Offset Adaptive Light Mount is completely ambidextrous. It can also be mounted in such at way that the light is cantilevered forward of the end of the rail.

Chinese Smooth Back AK Magazines

AK47 Mag Chinese Flat

While I generally prefer polymer magazines like the Bulgarian Circle 10 and US Palm AK30 for my AK-47s, I still keep a stash of metal mags on hand. Most of my metal magazines are of the Chinese Smooth Back (no rib) variety because I greatly prefer the handling characteristics of these mags. There is no sharp rib on the back to tear your hands over a long day at the range.

These magazines can be hard to find so I like to point them out when I see them. SG Ammo has several of them in stock at a great price.

PHLster Suede Patches

MI Gen-2 SS Hand Guards for DPMS Pattern .308 Uppers

It often seems like AR-10 shooters are left out in the cold when it comes to free float hand guards. There are new options everyday for the AR-15 but AR-10 options are few and far between. Well, I have good news. The excellent Midwest Industries Gen-2 SS Hand Guards will be available soon for DPMS pattern high and low receivers.

The 12″ high and low models (12.4 ounces) including the barrel nut) are available now by phone. They will be on the MI website soon. The 15″ models (14.3 ounces) will be available in two weeks.

Some enterprising users have found a way to prevent any potential snags and keep some emergency paracord on hand. MFT will be offering these paracord straps as an accessory or you can make your own.
