Chase Tactical – Warrior Wednesday – Warrior Assault Systems 901 Elite 4 Chest Rig

The Warrior Assault Systems 901 Elite 4 chest rig is set up on the 901 Front Opening (Patent Pending) MOLLE Platform which has revolutionized the use of the modern Chest platform. The 901 base has always been the basis for all the Warrior 901 rigs, and we all know how good this kit is when used in an SF Role, the only draw back has been that you need your buddy to help you fit it correctly before each Op. That’s why Warrior with the help of current SF Operators have introduced this variant, which is a front opening system comprising a heavy duty size 10 zip, 2 inch full Velcro closure and backed up by 3 press studs for additional security, this allows the user to get in and out of the rig at speed and without any assistance.

This is the latest version with 3D Spacer Mesh Lining for comfort and cooling, the new wider upper folding section is now 6 MOLLE loops wide allowing larger items such as Command Panels to be attached. This wider upper section now also allows a 10″X12″ Ballistic Plate to be worn, turning the 901 into a versatile low profile Armor Carrier.

The Warrior Assault Systems 901 Elite 4 comes standard with the following:

4 – 5.56mm Open Mag Pouches (Each Pouch holds 1 PMAG / 5.56mm Mags)

Regulation Tactical – Reflex Mag Pouch MK3

Regulation Tactical’s new MK3 version of their Reflex Mag Pouch is their most versatile mag pouch yet. It still retains the unique functionality of the original Reflex Mag Pouches but manages to add some notable features.

Like previous versions, the MK3 is still capable of holding 2 magazines and always places one of those magazines in the optimal position. The first mag is held forward and slightly higher than the reserve mag so that the user can easily grab it. When the first magazine is removed, the reserve magazine is pushed forward into the same position. The MK3 version has a redesigned, single piece spring that accomplishes this. See the video below for details on how this works if you are unfamiliar with previous iterations of this pouch.

The redesigned spring is removable which allows for multiple configurations. The pouch can be configured to hold 2 stacked magazines, a single magazine under spring tension, or a single magazine with no spring tension to give the pouch a lower profile. The pouch uses a series of hook and loop secured flaps to adjust for a wide variety of magazines, from .308 mags to AR-15 mags.

Finally, the Reflex Mag Pouch MK3 is the first to feature PALS webbing on the front. This allows other pouches to be stacked on top of the MK3.

HSG Plate Carriers

It is good to see High Speed Gear back in the plate carrier game. There was a time when the Weesatch and its derivatives were the hot carriers on the market but that was years ago. Now, with the introduction of their new MPC and SPC carriers, they are coming back to relevance in an innovative way.

HSG’s approach to their SPC and MPC is modularity on a level that I am not sure we have seen before. Both plate carriers start with the same basic, slick, plate pocket chassis. The SPC is offered as a more slick, low-profile option and the MPC as a more modular, load-bearing option. The MPC’s MOLLE compatible cummerbund is actually HSG’s excellent Sure Grip repurposed with an adapter to work as a cummerbund! The front panel can be run slick or with the new HSG Chest Platform mounted on the front as a cummerbund flap. Both the Sure Grip Belt and Chest Platform can also be utilized as stand-alone gear when you don’t need a plate carrier.

We have certainly seen effective ways to integrate plate carriers and chest rigs before, but HSG’s new approach seems to take modularity to a whole new level. Check out the SPC and MPC at HSG.
