Duty Diapers

My youngest is currently potty training which is normally cause for rejoicing but it has me bummed because I found Duty Diapers too late. We used cloth diapers for all 3 of my girls and, now that they are all out of diapers, they will never have the joy of wearing a cool Multicam diaper.

dutydiaper

Duty Diaper is a veteran owned company that makes cloth diaper covers designed to look like the uniforms of various branches of the military and first responders. Each diaper  is made in the USA and has cool touches like PALS webbing or a reflective stripe in the case of the Firefighter version. They are like tactical gear for your baby.

Check out DutyDiapers.com. These will be available now at Chase Tactical.

UW Gear Mini Swampfox Chest Rig

UW Gear has released a new version of the Swampfox chest rig. The Mini Swampfox will only be available for AR-15 magazines. It carries the same four magazines that the regular Swampfox carries but it has two double magazine pouches instead of four single magazine pouches. The result is a split front chest rig that is very compact.

In addition to the magazines pouches, the Mini Swampfox features a 2 x 3 PALS grid to the outside of each magazine pouch so the user can add compact IFAK pouches, GP pouches, or additional magazine pouches. It has the same great H harness that is found on all of UW Gear’s rigs.

Speaking of the harness… UW Gear is also now offering horizontal PALS webbing as an option on their harnesses. This can be ordered on any of their chest rigs. The standard harness has vertical webbing which is useful for rigging small backpacks or hydration carriers to the chest rig. The new horizontal option will allow users to attach small pouches or radios more easily.

The Mini Swampfox is not listed on the UW Gear site. It is being offered on a trial basis for now. To order, simply place an order for a regular Swampfox and mention in the order notes that you want the Mini version or send an email references your order. The horizontal PALS webbing option on the harness can be ordered the same way.

Smith & Bradley Ambush – Updates

Smith & Bradley have have given their Ambush model watch a bit of a make over in the form of a new hand set, a new sleeker buttons, and lume that matches the LCD screen illumination.

The previous hand set was a bit chunkier and covered more of the digital elements of the watch. The new set are skeletonized so that they don’t obscure as much of the watch face and they look pretty darn good too.

The new pusher is more of a sleek, dome shape. The previous version had a mushroom shape. The new design reduces the chance of the watch catching on gear or clothing. Finally, the lume on the face and hands has been changed to a blue color that matches the illumination of the digital components of the watch.

If you aren’t familiar with the Ambush and it’s many functions, see our original post from when this watch was released. The high points are that the Ambush is a watch with both analog and digital elements. It has the readability of an analog with with many functions of a digital including an alarm, hourly chime, and chronograph. It also has the ability to display the time in two time zones simultaneously – one on the digital display and one on the analog display. The movement is Swiss and the watch is assembled in the USA. On top of all of that, it has an advanced compass features that can show your bearing and a user settable azimuth.

Check out the Ambush at Smith & Bradley.
