I strongly recommend that you read through the Fact Sheet provided at WhiteHouse.gov in advance of the release of the President’s Executive Orders this morning. Much of the attention given these actions by gun owners has been centered on the ATF’s final ruling on ATF-41P which is set to change the way people access NFA items especially as it pertains to trusts and CLEO signoff. The Prince Law blog has one of the best synopses I’ve read on the ruling.
The breadth and width of these actions is still being parsed and it will likely remain that way for a long time. In true federal government fashion, they are steeped in ambiguity and seemingly purposefully designed to annoy more than actually deter.
