Aero Precision .308 M5 Complete Rifles

I figured that when Aero Precision started rolling out their line of .308 AR products it would only be a matter of time before they offered complete rifles. I am glad to say that, in this case, I was right. The new M5 .308 complete rifles are now available.

These new rifle look great on paper and the price is right. They are available with 16, 18, and 20″ 4150 CMV barrels. The barrels have a 1 in 10″ twist and are Melonite treated. The barrels are mounted in AP’s M5 upper receiver which has a machined in extension that serves as the attachment point for their rails.

The lower comes outfitted with a Magpul MOE Grip and STR stock on a standard mil-spec extension for the 16″ versions and a PRS stock for the 18″ and 20″ versions. It features markings and pin groove to allow the use of Battle Arms Development’s excellent short throw selectors. The lower accepts SR-25 pattern magazines which means it is good to go with Magpul’s affordable and readily available .308 PMAGS.

Thanks, coming in under 9lbs would make this ideal as that is a big turn off of the LMT, at least to me.

Chad at Aero Precision got back to me (he always does, great guy to deal with). The 16″ model sits right at 8 pounds. The 18 and 20″ models weigh just over 10 pounds.
